Hello! We are Ashima and Mohit from Fremont, California. Before we share our story, we want you to know this: we admire you for the courage it takes to consider adoption, the love you carry for your child, and the selflessness in wanting the very best for them. Picture laughter drifting from the kitchen, cozy Sunday mornings filled with music, and a family always ready to listen and cheer them on. More than anything, we want you to know that your child will always be embraced with love and belonging.

We first met in high school in India and began dating in 2011. Five years of long distance taught us patience, trust, and how to treasure every moment. In 2016, we married and began building our story across countries, living in China, exploring new cultures, and now settling in California. Our personalities balance each other perfectly: one loves chasing new experiences, the other makes sure laughter is never far behind. Together, we’ve created traditions like snowy Christmas getaways and Friday pizza nights. More than anything, we can’t wait to show a child the beauty of the world through shared adventures and everyday joys.

Adoption feels like the path that chose us. After experiencing loss in our journey to grow our family, we came to see more clearly that families are built through love, not biology. This journey has given us hope and reminded us that some of the most beautiful bonds are the ones life brings unexpectedly. We are ready to give a child a family that will always stand beside them, surround them with love, and encourage them to grow into their truest self.

I’m the kind of person who will listen to your whole story, remember the little details, and cheer you on every step of the way. I believe every person deserves to be loved and valued for exactly who they are. Exploring keeps me energized. Whether it’s a new trail, a city I’ve never visited, or food I can’t pronounce, I’m always curious to try something new. I also love staying active, baking sweet treats, and having music playing in the background while building a Lego set. I work as an Engineering program manager in the tech industry, a role that challenges me to solve problems and bring people together while still leaving room for the things I love. I look forward to sharing my love for trying new things and zest for life with a child and filling their days with encouragement, joy, and the chance to grow into who they are meant to be.

Ashima is one of the kindest people I know, with an open heart for everyone. She listens, gives generously, and always finds ways to make people feel cared for, whether through a thoughtful gesture or simply being there when someone needs her. She’s also incredibly driven (sometimes a little too competitive with me—she even beat me in a half marathon!). What I admire most is her resilience. Life hasn’t always been easy, but she meets challenges with grit, honesty, and grace. She has a wonderful way of keeping our lives organized, so much so that even her “Netflix time” is neatly scheduled, something we both laugh about often. Our Friday pizza nights are one of my favorite traditions with her. No matter how busy the week has been, she makes sure we slow down, share a meal, and dream about the future together. I know Ashima will be a nurturing, adventurous, and loving mom who gives our child both strong values and plenty of joy.

I’m easygoing by nature, the kind of person who keeps calm in tough situations but also knows how to keep the room lively with humor. There’s always something on my mind, whether it’s a new joke, a travel idea, or a way to make life better for my family. Cricket has been my lifelong passion, and I’ve been honored with several “best performer” awards over the years. When I’m not on the field, I’m usually enjoying watching sports, diving into a good book, or heading out for long drives with music playing. I work as a Technical Program Manager also in Tech industry, where I help turn bold ideas into real products. It keeps me curious and challenged, but once the laptop is closed, work stays at work. At home, my focus is on family, fun, and maybe sneaking in a movie with popcorn in hand. As a dad, I see myself as playful, caring, and hands-on, ready for games, giggles, bedtime stories, and even the messy moments (yes, diapers included). My greatest joy will be raising a child with laughter, devotion and love.

Mohit’s calm, easygoing nature and warm laugh make him someone people naturally gravitate toward. He has a special gift for bringing smiles to those around him, whether through his quick humor, his storytelling, or simply his presence. Kids are instantly drawn to him, and he meets them with patience, playfulness, and genuine care. He has a kind heart and an openness that makes it easy for others to connect with him, and his dedication to anything he sets his mind to inspires me daily. No matter how busy or stressful the day gets, he always makes time to show love. I know Mohit will be a hands-on, fun, and deeply devoted father who encourages curiosity, shares adventures, and fills our home with laughter and stories.

We live in Fremont, California in a cozy three-bedroom home filled with sunlight that streams through every corner. Fremont is often called one of the happiest and most family-friendly cities in the country, with schools and daycare centers nearby and a playground within walking distance. It is also one of the most diverse cities in the nation, which we love, because it means a child will grow up surrounded by many cultures, traditions, and perspectives. Fremont has two beautiful lakes, and being in the Bay Area gives us easy access to nearby cities, each with its own unique vibe, culture, and community. We can already picture weekends spent outdoors, playing by the lakes, or exploring the richness and diversity of the Bay Area together.

Ashima grew up with loving parents who live in India and a younger brother who now lives in Canada. Mohit was raised by his strong and caring mother in India after losing his father at a young age, and his younger sister, now married, lives in Canada. Even though our parents are in India and our siblings are in Canada, we stay closely connected through daily calls, visits, and family trips. Every weekend we all jump on a big family conference call. It’s usually loud, a little chaotic, and filled with laughter as everyone talks over each other, but it always leaves us feeling closer. Our parents are our greatest role models, supportive and encouraging, and they are eager to become grandparents who will share stories, values, and unconditional love. Beyond family, our circle of close friends feels like an extension of home. Whether it’s gathering for meals, planning weekend trips, or laughing late into the night, they have stood by us through every season of life and are excited to welcome a little one too.

We believe parenting is about giving a child both roots and wings—roots in love, belonging, and values, and wings to explore, grow, and become their true self. Our home will be a place where questions are welcome, laughter is daily, and love is unshakable. Our promise is simple: your child will always be surrounded with love, guided with patience, and celebrated for exactly who they are. Their journey will never be walked alone, because our hearts and hands will always be there beside them.
