After sixteen years together, including eight wonderful years of marriage, we’ve built a happy life rooted in steady laughter, stability, and unconditional support. Your child will grow up surrounded by Michael’s Spanish heritage and Lily’s Chinese family traditions of big holiday feasts, birthday parties, and lively game nights. Whether we are heading out on a spontaneous adventure or enjoying a cozy morning with our two rescue cats, we promise a life of security, discovery, and endless encouragement.

Adoption is a path we are incredibly excited to take. While we have spent time trying to grow our family biologically without success, we know there are many beautiful ways to create a family. These experiences have only strengthened our bond and deepened our readiness to become parents. Our adventure began in 2009, bonding over Korean BBQ as fellow foodies. After years of friendship and group hangouts, a first kiss turned our connection into the inseparable partnership we share today.

Now, our days are filled with “normal magic.” With Michael working from home and Lily on a hybrid schedule, we have the flexibility to prioritize family. Our parents live just 25 minutes away, providing a close-knit support system. Whether we are gardening in our backyard, cuddling our two rescue cats, or hitting the road for a weekend mini-trip, our home is filled with laughter. We stay busy with projects and hobbies, and we can’t wait to share this joyful, stable life with a child.

I am someone who finds true joy in the details, whether I’m planning a lively family get-together or working on a new crochet project. My career offers a hybrid schedule, giving me the flexibility to be present for all the big and small moments in a child’s life. I grew up with traditions of big holiday feasts and birthday parties, and I am so excited to pass those celebrations down. To me, being a mother means providing a soft place to land and being a constant cheerleader for every dream.

Lily’s compassionate heart is what first drew me to her. She truly lives her values through action—from nursing three injured stray cats back to health to contributing annually to clothing drives for foster children. She has a natural instinct to protect and care for those in need.

Lily is deeply devoted to family, visiting her niece bi-weekly to help with homework and play. She also stepped in to guide and nurture my own sisters’ kids, proving she is a natural at providing both love and structure. As the heart of our home, she loves bringing everyone together for holidays. I know Lily will pour that same fierce dedication into our child, creating a home full of warmth and joyful traditions.

I’m a kid at heart with a passion for discovery. Working from home allows me to be a steady, constant presence for our family. My Spanish heritage is a huge part of who I am, and I can’t wait to share that culture and food with our child. As the “adventurer” of our duo, I’m always ready for a spontaneous weekend trip or a day exploring local sights. What excites me most about fatherhood is seeing the world through a child’s eyes and building a life where they feel safe and truly supported.

Michael is my steady anchor and my favorite source of adventure. Because my work is highly structured, he selflessly handles the weekday chores so our weekends stay free for quality time together. He is a natural mentor who helped his sisters raise their children; today, our niece and nephew still call him first for advice.

Beyond his nurturing side, Michael keeps life exciting. He loves whisking me away on spontaneous dates to try new foods or explore local museums. I admire his passion for art and history. I can’t wait to watch him spark that same curiosity in a child, leading our family with both stability and a sense of wonder.

We love staying active and can’t wait to take our future child on outdoor adventures. Our weekends are often spent hiking, kayaking, or swimming together. We also have a blast at theme parks; we recently took our nieces and nephews—including family visiting from Spain—for a big day of rides and laughter. We look forward to many more of these high-energy family adventures, whether we are exploring a local fair or traveling to see relatives near and far.

We imagine a life for our child full of diverse experiences, from cheering in the stadium stands to quiet, rainy afternoons spent working on a craft project. We live in a quiet neighborhood in Corona, California. Our 1980s single-story home sits at the end of a peaceful cul-de-sac. With no through-traffic and neighbors who all know one another, it is a safe, close-knit place to grow up.

Our home life centers on togetherness. Since we both work from home, we love bumping into each other in the kitchen for breaks or sharing lunch. Evenings are spent in the living room catching up on cooking or restoration shows.

We truly value the outdoors. We are situated right near the mountains, often taking morning or evening strolls on the local hiking trails. In the spring, we’re always in our large backyard planting new crops in the veggie garden.

Between our spacious yards and the quiet street, there is so much room for a child to play and explore. We can’t wait to share this peaceful, active life with a little one!

Our home is shared with two beloved cats. Bella, our 10-year-old tuxedo, is a quiet soul who loves sunbathing in her hammock. Then there is Thomas, our 3-year-old adventurer and friendly greeter who patrols the property. Growing up with them will teach a child about gentleness and love. In our house, there is always room for one more on the couch.

Family is the heart of our lives. Between Lily’s two siblings and Michael’s three sisters, a child will have five doting aunts and uncles and 10 close cousins to grow up with! Our “village” is massive, supportive, and ready for a new playmate.

Lily’s family celebrates every birthday with a special tradition: the “birthday person” picks the menu, followed by a fierce family game night. We love playing Pictionary or Wii, though Lily’s 5-year-old niece is the reigning champ at Wii Bowling!

Michael’s family stays just as connected through holiday dinners and weddings. We recently hosted family from Spain, sightseeing and bonding with our young niece and nephew. Whether it’s an international reunion or a quiet Sunday dinner, the kids are always at the center of the fun.

From the wisdom of our parents to the energy of dozens of cousins across the globe,
a child in our home will always be surrounded by love, laughter, and a huge team of people cheering them on.

Our home is a joyful blend of Michael’s Spanish heritage and Lily’s Chinese-American roots. We cherish traditional holidays, often adding a Chinese twist to our Christmas and Thanksgiving meals. To us, family has many forms, and we value the deep history and wide circle of support our child will have, spanning from the US to Spain.

We believe in the power of discovery—supporting higher education and encouraging our child to explore sports and new activities. Most importantly, we want to instill a resilient sense of hope. We’ll teach our child that when life is hard, they never have to give up because their family is always behind them.
