Hi there! We are Jeffrey & Kyle from West Hollywood, California. Thank you so much for allowing us to introduce ourselves to you. Kyle and I met 12 years ago on Tinder and we are hoping that we will find our mutual “swipe right” match here as well! All jokes aside, nothing would make us happier than to be parents. We fly to Buffalo at least 4 times a year just to spend time with our 3 nieces (but if Kyle’s mom asks, it’s to see her!) We understand this is an incredibly important choice for you and we appreciate your consideration of us to be the safe, happy, nurturing home and family for your child.

As a gay couple, our options for having children are limited. And to be honest, while we have both innately always wanted to be parents, we weren’t raised at a time where that was something we saw as a viable option for ourselves. As we’ve gotten older and chosen to start a family with each other, adoption felt like the right path for us.

We feel that it’s a privilege that we are even in a position to provide a child a good, loving, safe home. And for us, we hope that journey happens with a child and mother who feel we are the right fit. It just feels like the way that journey is meant to unfold. We hope to offer a mother peace of mind, should she choose adoption, knowing her child will be deeply loved and cared for. And we would be honored to provide that. Simply being able to share this with you makes us happy.

Well, as we said in our introduction, we met on Tinder - a modern love story! We have been together for almost 12 years, and on Valentine’s Day 2025 we decided to elope at the Beverly Hills courthouse. Of course, our families demanded something more official, so we had a “Southern Charm Picnic” themed wedding in Buffalo last August, one day before our 11th anniversary. We originally connected over our shared jobs in Hollywood, but what really keeps us together is our mutual appreciation for time with our families. We both have adventurous spirits, which can lead to anything from impromptu road trips to shared television viewing and we both have a strong love of reading. Living in LA definitely provides us with an overabundance of nice days to spend outside, and we’re just as happy spending time alone together as we are with our various groups of friends.

I grew up in and around NYC, went to college in New Orleans, studied abroad in London and now live in Los Angeles. I have always had an interest in other cultures. Sometimes that has involved travel or simply reading about destinations, and other times it is as easy as introducing ourselves to our neighbors.
I would describe myself as an extroverted introvert, which means I am a ton of fun at a social gathering, but I also really value my quiet time at home. Balance is really important to me.
I have always known that I wanted to be a dad, but I didn’t always know how that would happen. My family wasn't particularly close growing up - I was raised to be very independent. I was lucky enough to marry into a family that is as close as I have ever seen, and that has given me a great want to build that type of life for my child.

I can’t wait to be the ultimate safe space for a kid and the person whose encouragement lights them up and means the world.

When Jeff is in uncle mode, there’s no one a kid loves more. He just has a natural affinity for entertaining them! He shines with our nieces, treating them to afternoons at Dave & Busters, or runs to the frozen yogurt place our youngest niece calls “the cow store,” and it’s been so rewarding to see how much they all love Uncle Jeffy.

Jeff is smart and fun and the life of any party. He’s a voracious reader and always has a great book recommendation for friends. His job gives him a lot of pop culture gossip that people always love asking him about, and he has a knowledge of 90s R&B that is always helpful at a trivia night. He’s very into astrology and mediumship and gets very excited about crystals – but his excitement is contagious, and now I guess I’m sort of into that stuff now too? But that’s how Jeff is. His passion is really infectious and I love it.

I grew up in Buffalo, NY, and come from a very large Irish family. Holidays at my great-grandmother’s or grandma’s house would regularly have 40, 50, even 60 relatives! I’m still very close with my sister and 17 first cousins, and have loved spending time with their kids.
Growing up, I was a hard-working honors student, played sports, was in the school musical, and was lucky enough to get into Yale University. I studied fine art & film and made so many friends from around the world, 25 of whom came all the way to Buffalo for our wedding last summer.
Since 2007, I’ve worked as a film and TV producer for stars like Tyra Banks, Lisa Kudrow and now Jenna Dewan.

Being a father is something I’ve always wanted. And meeting Jeff, I knew that he and I would make such a great team for supporting a child and giving them an amazing life.

Kyle is one of the kindest people I have ever met. He is thoughtful, empathetic and while he can be impatient with himself, for others he has more grace than I have ever seen in a human being. He has an insatiable thirst for knowledge and new experiences and is constantly on the lookout for special moments that will create lasting memories. He always finds the energy to say yes, just to make someone else happy. He is my safe space.

We have been a part of all our nieces’ lives since they were born, and I have watched Kyle show so much love for those 3 girls. It absolutely lights my heart up. He will stay up and read Goodnight Moon 5 times in a row and pretend like each reading is the first. He has taken them for their first bike rides, taught them to blow bubbles, and being 6’2, will forever be a defacto jungle gym for children. I believe that he most fervently shows his love through teaching and he has so much wisdom and love to impart.

We’ve said this elsewhere, but our home is filled with hundreds of books and we are both big readers. We also love to explore and travel – Jeff recently hit one million miles on Delta Airlines! – and want to share that sense of adventure with our future child. Kyle grew up taking long family road trips across the country – he’s gone to 48 states! – and loved seeing the diverse, spectacular landscapes of the USA, stopping to visit friends and family along the way. Jeff’s favorite place is Singapore. Kyle’s is probably France, but maybe New Zealand?

We’re both pretty extroverted – it’s sort of a requirement for our jobs – so we’ve fostered and maintained close friendships all around the country and the world. We both grew up playing sports: Jeff did travel soccer and played in college, Kyle was a competitive skier and… figure skater (it was Buffalo, it was cold all the time!). We love walks and hikes and runs and going to the gym regularly. Jeff grew up sailing in Connecticut, and we regularly go out on the ocean in our friend’s sailboat. Discovering new restaurants is something we also love doing, trying new cuisine, although Italian food is probably our favorite.

Kyle works as a producer in TV and film, helping bring a story onto the screen. He’s worked on America’s Next Top Model, HBO’s The Comeback, a couple Lifetime Network movies, helped create the Fox gameshow 25 Words or Less, and worked on dozens of scripts that never got made! He just sold a dance movie to Netflix and loves that his job allows him to tell stories for a living. He loves being creative, whether it’s writing or painting or taking photographs, and wants to foster a love for art with our future child.

Jeff is a celebrity publicist, specializing in actors. He handles their press, which encompasses everything from photoshoots to talk shows to red carpets, award shows and press tours. This job has afforded him more pinch-me moments than he can count, but a few that stick out include attending Jessica Chastain’s wedding in Venice, traveling completely around the globe promoting the film Bros, riding in a Mardi Gras parade with Norman Reedus and visiting the set of Harry Potter during the making of the final film.

We live in West Hollywood, which is a friendly, diverse, very walkable part of Los Angeles, with a coffeeshop, smoothie place, grocery store and restaurant right at the end of our block. LA has a reputation for traffic, but we actually spend very little time in the car. We live on an absolutely beautiful street with lush, exotic foliage and a flock of green parakeets. Our apartment is filled to the brim with books and plants (our pets at the moment), and we are half-an-hour from the beach, hiking trails or downtown. We cannot wait to take our future child for walks in the neighborhood, to hang out in West Hollywood park, dip their toes in the Pacific Ocean for the first time, or take them on hikes in the Santa Monica mountains that we enjoy doing on weekends.

We have a lot of friends with young kids, many with mixed race parents, so are excited to introduce your child to our extended community in Los Angeles, for beach BBQs and picnic playdates. And obviously a red carpet or two!

Where to even start? There are too many to count but will tell you about some of our favorites (but don’t tell the others!) Jeff has a twin brother and a younger sister, who is the mother of his oldest niece. Jeff’s mom is his hero. She was a nurse for over 20 years and took in friends and family from complicated homes when he was growing up. His house was a safe space for a lot of people, and he wants to continue that legacy of love and generosity as a parent. He is very close with his aunt and cousins, one of whom is like a big sister to him, and he is like a big brother to her 2 kids.

Kyle has a giant family that is basically half the population of Buffalo and they are all extremely close. He has a younger sister and 2 nieces. Kyle's parents live around the corner from his aunt and grandmother, and have helped to raise his 2 nieces. Family dinners in Buffalo are a weekly occurrence.

We both have extended tribes of people who have been in our lives since birth and some who have joined the pack over time. It will be really important for us to spend as much time with family and friends as possible, because we are firm believers that the concept of a village raising a child is both true and important.

We believe that every child is an individual and deserves to have their interests and dreams fostered as such. While we both have our own personal passions that we will be thrilled to share with them, we are excited to see what brings them joy in the world, what paths intrigue them.
Hard work and education are very important to us. Neither of us was handed anything in life, and we find that there is greater appreciation for achievement when you got there yourself, so we want to instill that. Knowledge opens doors, even if it’s just for their own consumption or entertainment. We want our future child to know the world is available to them if they are brave enough to take the first steps.

And we want them to know that they have a giant family who loves them and believes in them. It can make a world of a difference to just know that a hug is waiting for you whenever you need it.

We may both work in Hollywood and interact with very famous, wealthy celebrities, but we are some of the most grounded, normal people you’ll ever meet – and it’s all because of our amazing family and friends.
