Hi! I’m Semara from Los Angeles, California. Thank you for taking a few minutes to learn about me. I hope that as you read these pages, you’ll get a sense of who I am. I’m a proud dog mom to two wonderful pups, and someone who finds joy in family, friends, travel, and everyday moments. Most of all, I hope you see how excited I am about becoming a mom and the loving, stable home I hope to share with your child. Thank you for getting to know me.

I’ve always wanted to be a mom. After experiencing infertility, I realized there are many meaningful paths to building a family, and adoption felt like the right one for me. It has been an intentional decision, and I’m genuinely excited to be on this journey. I plan to share my life and traditions with my future child, while always honoring and respecting the story that brought us together.

I have so much love to give and I look forward to creating a home where he/she feels safe and supported every day.

I’m a physician, the youngest of five siblings, and a proud dog mom to two lovable pups who keep me laughing every day. I love traveling and discovering new places, whether it’s exploring a different country, finding a great local restaurant, or spending time outdoors. Family and friends are a huge part of my life, and I’m happiest when I’m surrounded by the people (and dogs!) I love. I can't wait to share a home filled with laughter, adventure, unconditional love, and plenty of tail wags.

When I think about becoming a mom, it’s the everyday moments that excite me most.

I look forward to reading bedtime stories, cheering from the sidelines at games or school performances, helping with homework, celebrating birthdays, and creating traditions that become lifelong memories. I can’t wait to watch my future child discover who they are, encourage them to pursue their own interests, and be there through every stage of life.

I’m a physician specializing in a career that allows me to care for patients during some of the most meaningful moments of their lives. I feel incredibly grateful to do work that is both challenging and rewarding.

My workplace is very family-friendly, offering paid parental leave and colleagues (all working moms) who have been incredibly supportive of my adoption journey. I look forward to balancing a career I love with the joys and responsibilities of being a mom.

I grew up playing sports, and that love of staying active has remained an important part of my life. On weekends, you’ll usually find me exploring one of the many hiking trails around Los Angeles. I enjoy spending time outdoors, staying active, and living a healthy lifestyle.

Travel is another passion of mine. I’ve visited more than 25 countries. My love of exploring began when I lived in Kenya during college. Since then, I’ve gone on safari in Tanzania, explored the pyramids in Egypt, kayaked through the islands of Thailand, and wandered the streets of Paris. Every trip has taught me something new, and I look forward to sharing that same curiosity and appreciation for different cultures with my future child, whether we’re exploring the world or discovering new adventures close to home.

As a parent, I hope to encourage my future child to discover their own interests and passions, support their dreams, and build confidence by trying new things.

My two dogs, Kiwi, a 3-year-old Mini Goldendoodle, and Nahla, my 12-year-old Chihuahua Terrier mix, are a big part of my life. They're silly, affectionate, love to cuddle on the couch, and are wonderful with children.

Kiwi is playful, curious, and always ready for the next adventure, while Nahla is calm, gentle, and happiest curled up beside someone she loves. They've brought so much joy to my home, and I look forward to the day they can welcome a little one into our family with wagging tails.

Adoption has never felt like a journey I’m taking alone. My family has supported me every step of the way. I'm the youngest of five siblings, and family has always been an important part of my life. Although my mother has passed away, I'm very close with my dad. We get together for lunch or dinner almost every week, and he is incredibly excited to welcome and spoil a new grandchild. My brother lives in Los Angeles and is a foster/resource parent with a child in elementary school. I love cheering on my nephew at his soccer games, and I've even started learning about anime so I can keep up with him! My other siblings live out of state and abroad, but we stay closely connected through regular family group chats and visits.

Most of them are already parents, and they’ve enthusiastically claimed the title of “Auntie.” They’ve already started planning play dates, birthday celebrations, family outings, and adventures with their own children. Knowing my future child will grow up surrounded by such a caring community means the world to me.

Family has always been at the center of my life. As the youngest of five siblings, I grew up surrounded by love, laughter, and people who showed up for one another. That’s the kind of home I hope to create for my future child. I look forward to family dinners, weekend adventures, holidays together, cheering from the sidelines at their activities, and creating traditions that become some of their favorite memories. I believe children thrive when they feel loved, listened to, and respected. My goal is to raise a confident, compassionate, and curious child who knows they are valued for exactly who they are. I also believe adoption should be talked about openly and positively from the very beginning. If we’re fortunate to have an open adoption, I want my future child to grow up knowing their story and understanding how deeply they have always been loved. Above all, I promise to provide a stable home.
