We will never be able to thank you enough for the gift you are considering giving us. We know this is a difficult decision, and you are making it selflessly. We have so much respect for you and this path you have chosen to take. It’s important to us that your baby knows where they come from and the love you have for them.

We will love your baby with everything we have. There will be bedtime stories, bath time, cuddles on the couch, and days at the park. We will celebrate every birthday, every accomplishment, and we will be there to wipe every tear.

We always knew we wanted to be parents. As our friends and family had kids, we loved them like our own — watching them constantly, and even bringing them along on more than a few dates. We decided to start trying for our own in 2019 and found out we were pregnant that very first month. We were so happy and a little shocked. Then at 22 weeks, Amber developed severe preeclampsia, and we lost our baby boy, Easton James. It was the hardest thing we've ever been through. But in that grief, something shifted. Adoption had been placed on our hearts, and the more we sat with it, the more certain we became it was the right decision for us. In 2022 we adopted our son Greyson, and he has been the greatest blessing of our lives.

We have always talked about having two kids, and as Greyson gets older, we feel that pull more and more. Zack and I both have brothers we are incredibly close to, and we want that for Greyson. We want him to have someone to go through life with who shares a similar life experience and can truly understand as they navigate the feelings and emotions of adoption together.

We live in Washington State, on the west side of the mountains. We both were born and raised here and have lived here our entire lives. We met at church years before we started dating. Zack was Amber’s, little brother’s, best friend, so dating was not on our minds. Our families became friends and we would see each other at gatherings. Then, when Zack was in college, he invited Amber to a concert and the rest is history.
It has been thirteen years since that first date, and in a lot of ways, nothing has changed. We still go on dates, have random adventures, and binge watch our shows together. We make each other laugh every day and are genuinely best friends.

I was born and raised in Western Washington and I absolutely love it here. Where else can you have the city, the country, the mountains, and the ocean all within a two-hour drive?
I've been lucky to have most of my family close by my whole life. Growing up, that meant church together on Sundays, celebrating every birthday and holiday together, and family vacations. Those memories shaped me, and it's something I'm already carrying forward with our son Greyson.

I went to college close to home and studied Accounting and Finance. After graduating, I earned my CPA and began my career as an auditor. I'm now the Corporate Controller for a small construction project management firm — and I genuinely love it. The company is family-oriented and offers a lot of flexibility, which means the world to me as a working parent.

Amber works hard to ensure others are taken care of before worrying about herself. As an aunt, I saw every quality I hoped to find in a future partner and mother. She was so patient and able to connect to all her nieces and later my nephew. She was great at doing all the crafts with nieces but would make an awesome boy mom playing racecars with my nephew. Once Greyson entered our life I saw a new side of her. She immediately became so gentle, able to calm him down during the worst of times, and always makes him feel safe.

One of the things I love the most is watching her pass down her family's love of board games to the two of us. Some of my favorite memories from this past year are the three of us around the table, laughing, competing, and watching Greyson develop that fierce competitive spirit that Amber and I share.

I was also born and raised in Western Washington. I have two parents (Jeff and Terri) and one little brother (Jimmy). Growing up we were a close family. We loved being together, watching football, and visiting family. We used to go to the pacific ocean several times a year and visit places my mom went to as a kid when her family had a cabin. Those are some of my favorite memories as a kid.

I went to Eastern Washington University for college and worked my way up on the football team. While I was there we won a national title and multiple conference championships (You might have heard of Cooper Kupp). I became the GA which meant learning how to balance life and school, while grinding 16 hours a day for football. For me, my greatest lessons from college came from football, which taught me hard work and sacrifice.

Today I am a teacher and high school football coach. At the high school level I still get the competitive fire of coaching football but without the insane hours of a college coach. I take Greyson to practice and he absolutely loves it!

I fell in love with Zack because of his heart. He had this loyalty and care for others that was different. I saw it in the consistent way he showed up for the people he loved. If Zack said he'd be somewhere or do something, he was there. As our relationship grew, I saw this was at the core of who he was and how truly selfless he was. I knew he would be a wonderful father.

Now that we have Greyson, I am able to see first hand how right I was. Zack wakes up early to spend quiet morning hours with him, watching his favorite shows side by side. He'll spend hours at the park without a second thought, because that's where Greyson wants to be. What fills my heart most is watching Zack share the things he loves with Greyson. Zack will take him to football practice and Greyson absolutely loves it. This year, Zack took him to play golf for the first time and to his very first baseball game- memories Greyson will carry forward.

The way Zack loves our son — fully, patiently, and with so much intention — is everything I envisioned and more. I can’t wait to see his bond and love for our other child.

We both grew up close to our families and felt like those bonds/relationships molded our childhood and some of our fondest memories. Creating that for our children has always been a priority for each of us.

We have been blessed to have most of our family close by, so we get together regularly. Some weekly traditions we enjoy include going to church together, getting together for game nights, and gathering often for barbeques.

4th of July is Zack’s FAVORITE holiday. Every year we throw a big BBQ and everyone comes over. They always know 4th will be at the Coops.

Amber’s favorite family tradition is a yearly trip in the summer with her mom, dad, brother, and his family. We pick somewhere in Washington to go and spend a few days together exploring, swimming, playing games, and just hanging out.

We also love Christmas. The day after Thanksgiving, Zacks family comes over and we decorate each of our houses (3) with lights. After they are all done we have dinner together and hang out. The kids love it. We also have started picking a day each year to go get a real Christmas tree from a tree farm and bring it home and decorate it.

Zack is a teacher and football coach, which means every Friday night in the fall you'll find us in the stands cheering his team on — and Greyson absolutely loves it. Family and friends come out throughout the season and it’s fun to share with them. In 2024, Zack’s team actually won the state championship!!

One of our favorite traditions we have started is for the last road game of the year — both of our families drive down, stay the night, and spend the next day exploring the town together. These trips have become some of our fondest memories as a family.

We were in the hospital room the day Greyson was born and have been with him ever since. It was a long, winding journey, but he was worth every up and down. We couldn’t picture our life today any other way.

Greyson is kind, funny, smart beyond his years, super athletic, and has confidence for days. We always say he is ready to take on the world.

It is important to us that Greyson has a sibling and together they each have that person they can walk through life with. We want them both to grow up with a shared experience they can each relate to.

He can’t wait to have a baby to “play ball” with LOL.

We fell in love with our house as soon as we saw it! It has a big, open downstairs, and we love having friends and family over. Our home has three bedrooms and is located in a large neighborhood. There are always kids outside playing, and there are multiple parks within walking distance. Zack’s brother Jimmy, and his family, and our close friends, Katie and Taylor, live a neighborhood over. We love getting together and going on walks and hanging out.
