Dear Birth Mother,

Hi, we’re Adam and Amy. We thank you for taking the time to look through our profile. We are so grateful to you for considering adoption. God has blessed us with one precious child through the gift of adoption. We are excited to become parents again through the miracle of adoption. It is impossible for us to imagine all you must be going through, but we have no doubt that the overwhelming concern you have is that your baby will have a loving family to grow up with. We know that we can be that family, and we have so much we want to share with another child. We strive to provide our son and our future child a nurturing and stable home.

What I love most about Amy…through Adam’s eyes.

My wife is the love of my life. She is a true blessing to me. She’s a wonderful wife and mother. She is a gorgeous redhead with an infectious smile that lights up the room. She has a great, fun-loving personality and is lots of fun to be around.

She is a very compassionate and tender-hearted person. She is joyful when others are experiencing joy and happiness, but she also feels pain and grieves with others when they are hurting. I am so thankful to have her in my life!

Amy is a 4th grade teacher and loves kids! She has a special way about her, and kids always gravitate toward her. She has her master’s degree in elementary education, and her profession allows her to be home more with our family.

She enjoys cooking and baking for others! She also enjoys playing the piano, singing, and reading. She loves watching game shows on TV and hopes to be on one someday. She would love to be on the Price is Right. She especially loves being a mother! She can’t wait to become a mom again. Her face always lights up when she is around her son. She enjoys reading to her son, playing games with him, and just being silly together.

What I Love Most About Adam…Through Amy’s eyes.

Adam is one of the most loving people I have ever met. He loves me and our son unconditionally. He always sees the good in people and is willing to serve and give to others. He is also a godly example of what a husband and father should be.

He has a contagious laugh! Once he starts laughing, everyone in the room laughs along with him.  Adam enjoys playing golf, working outside, building things, singing, and watching football. He loves being a daddy and is a wonderful example for our son. He enjoys showing our son how to build things, use tools, and play outside with him. I can’t wait to see him become a daddy again.

Adam works very hard to provide for our family. He is the worship and administrative pastor at our church. He worked in banking for over a decade before going into fulltime ministry. His job at the church is very close to our home. He also has flexibility with that position that will allow him to stay at home more once we adopt another child. He has a bachelor’s degree in commercial music and a minor in business.

Our Love Story

We met each other in college. Amy had a crush on Adam the moment she saw him, but it wasn’t until after we graduated college that we began dating. We both had been praying for the right person to marry. Love blossomed quickly, and we were married within a year. We had no doubts that we were supposed to get married. We had a beautiful wedding, surrounded by friends and family. We have been married since 2005 and are still in love!

One of our favorite things to do together is travel! We love exploring new places and learning about different cultures. We spent our honeymoon in the Canadian Rockies and just celebrated our 10th anniversary by going to Alaska. We also love going on cruises. We take time for travels as a couple as well as family vacations throughout the year. We love going to the movies together! There’s just something about sharing a soda and eating popcorn together. We also enjoy singing together, cooking together, playing cards with friends, and just getting to spend time with each other.

Our Marriage

We know that marriage is a partnership that takes work. We have never gone to bed angry with each other, and we try our best to listen to each other. We rarely argue, but when we do, it is usually over something silly like housecleaning. We make a conscious effort to not argue in front of our son.

We have gone through several trials during our marriage, and they have only served to strengthen us! Keeping God first in our marriage gives us the assurance to know that we are never alone throughout our trials. Our goal in marriage is for us to grow together in Christ. We also want to set an example for our children of what a godly marriage should be.

Our Home

We live in a quaint town in Alabama. We built our home in 2013. Our home has three bedrooms and two and a half baths. We have a large front and backyard that is perfect for hours of playing outside. We live in a nice, quiet neighborhood with lake views. Our subdivision also only has one entrance so it is a very safe area. Our neighbors are very friendly and are excited about more children coming to our area.

Our Loved Ones

We have large families with lots of love to give! Both of our families are excited for us to adopt again and are so excited to welcome another child to our growing family. They love our adopted son tremendously.

We each come from loving and happy homes. Adam’s parents have been married for 49 years. Adam’s parents live less than a mile from our house. His mom helps care for our son a few days a week. Amy’s dad passed away in 2011. Amy’s mom and step-dad live an hour away so it’s very easy to meet up to spend time together. The grandparents are very eager to have another baby to love.

Amy has an older sister that is married and has two children. We love to meet up so our children can play together. Our boys are six months apart so they have lots of fun, and they’re both ALL boy! Amy is very close with her sister even though she lives an hour away. Amy also has a brother who is married and just had a baby girl a few months ago. He lives in Maryland, but we see each other on the major holidays and sometimes we can squeeze in a quick trip up north. Amy and her siblings spend lots of time making each other laugh and playing games.

Adam has two older brothers and two sisters-in law. His oldest brother is serving in the military in Washington State so we don’t get to see him and his family as often as we would like. When we are together, we have a great time laughing and catching up. His middle brother and their family live a mile away from our home. We spend almost every weekend together. We have two nieces that love to play with their cousin. His family is so caring and willing to help in any way that we need it.

We have a supportive group of friends that we have met through our church. We love to spend time with them at each other’s homes, at the church, or going on beach trips. Our friends are more like family to us.

We would like to thank you for looking through our profile. We know it takes an incredibly brave and unselfish person to consider adoption.  We want you to know that if you choose us to parent your child, that we will love him or her unconditionally. We also believe that it is important for our children to know they are adopted and that we are grateful for the opportunity we have been given.

Please know that although we have not met, we are thinking of you and praying for you. It is our hope that if you choose to place your child with us, you will find comfort in knowing that your child will be greatly loved and blessed. He or she will know that you showed great love and courage in making this decision. May God bless you on your journey.
