I have always wanted to be a mother, ever since I was a child myself, and I have always known that adoption would be part of my journey to becoming a parent. I began exploring adoption several years before my daughter Henrietta was born, and now I feel that the time is right to grow my family through adoption once again. As a single parent, I know I have the love, stability, and resources to welcome another child into my home, care for them in the best way possible, and provide a nurturing environment where they can thrive.

I have lived in San Diego for most of my life. I am a happy and friendly person. People describe me as: funny, confident, friendly, and hardworking.

I love my job as a teacher! One of my greatest accomplishments was completing my credentials to become a teacher. I absolutely love my job because I get to watch children learn and grow while helping shape the minds of future generations! Teaching has been a huge part of my life. I’ve always loved working with children, so it’s no surprise that I chose teaching. Being a teacher means that I can take an extra long leave to be home with a new baby, in addition to the many extended breaks throughout the year.

So far, my favorite place to visit has been Paris, France. My goal is to visit every Disney park in the world, and so far, I have seen 8 of them! I love finding hidden waterfalls on hikes, trying new foods, and experiencing new cultures. I always try to fully immerse myself in the culture I am visiting.

My daughter is a loving little girl who has the greatest sense of humor. She is equal parts sassy and sweet. She loves to play at the playground, try new foods, and learn about animals. She is very excited to be a big sister!

I live in San Diego, California, where I have lived for most of my life. I live in a 4-bedroom home in a small neighborhood. We have a park directly across the street with a large grass area and a playground. My home has a huge back yard with a new pool and grass for running and playing. I have two gardens, an English Garden and a vegetable garden. Henrietta and I love to plant new seeds each spring and watch our tiny plants grow. It's her job to water our flowers and plants every day after school!

The schools in our area are the best in the county and are considered neighborhood schools, which means that they are smaller and service the neighborhoods directly around them. We have very highly rated schools and I am privileged to work at one of them.

I am very close to my family. Almost all of my family live less than 20 minutes away, meaning we have lots of opportunities for adventures together! We spend a lot of time with each other, from eating dinners together to traveling around the world. My friends have been in my life for many years, and they are very excited to continue this journey with me. When I adopted Henrietta, they were all very excited. When I announced that I was going to enter the adoption journey once again, there were cheers and lots of smiles and happy tears. They are all excited to have a new little "niece/nephew" to love on.

We have one dog, a yorkie name Beatrice. She loves spending time with us and coming with us on our family outings. We brought her home as a tiny little puppy. She's energetic, loves her toys and kids, and will do anything for a treat! She's been known to steal your blanket or pillow on the couch if you get up, though!

Parenting is a full time job and more than a full time responsibility. I feel as though I've been preparing for this role for my entire life. I look forward to sharing my interests and hobbies with your child, and while I hope they find similar interests, I am excited to see what type of hobbies they choose for themselves. I hope to do what my mom did for me, and allow them to further their interests and hobbies by encouraging them to pursue them. The "village" around me is more than excited to expand their love to another child joining our family. I believe that it takes a village to raise a child, and I'm beyond grateful that I have such an amazing village behind me, supporting me in this journey.
