I’m grateful you are taking the time to get to get to know me!
Hello, from Venice, California!
Dear Birth Mother
Thank you, sincerely, for this opportunity to give you some insight into who I am. I hope that after reading this, you will feel reassured and find comfort that your child will be raised with unconditional love, be cared for and supported with all of my heart. I’m adopted, and I hold high regard for the choice that my birth mother made. That said, I acknowledge that you are making a challenging yet courageous and loving choice. I have much respect and I am deeply inspired by your strength required to endure this process. I would be honored to share my life and world with your child, to nurture, encourage and help them grow into a beautiful human.
My Adoption Story
Fate played a part into my adoption. My birth mother, twenty years of age, and eight months pregnant went into the Social Service office contemplating adoption. My grandmother, who worked for Social Services, met with her and during the conversation, my birthmother mentioned she was looking for an apartment to rent. My grandmother connected her to my father, whom she ended up renting an apartment from. While my father was showing her the apartment, and he boldly said to her, “If you have a girl, my wife and I will adopt her. Do you want to come to dinner and meet my family?”
On July 1st, at approximately 7am, my parents received a call from my birth mother. Her water had broke and she was in labor. Four hours later, and during one of the worst floods in the history of Vermont, which caused a state of emergency and National Guard evacuations – I was born. My parents and brothers like to joke and say I came into the world like a storm – determined, independent, and fearless.
A Little Bit About Me
I was born and raised in a small town in Northern Vermont. I enjoyed the east coast and the four seasons. My family had a small farm with cows, chickens, pigs, a horse, cats and dogs. My first pet was raccoon named Rascal. I have three older brothers that I adore, that have blessed my life and graced me with nieces and nephews.

My Personal Journey
I wake up and fall asleep every day with a cherished dream of having a child. I’m in a place in my life that I am able to nurture and provide unconditional love to a child. Over the past several years I have had multiple surgeries, fertility treatments and two miscarriages. After I found out that I would not be able to have a child naturally, I realized that my goal is not to experience pregnancy (as beautiful as it is) but to become a parent. I know there is a child in need of my love and care.
Things I Love and Enjoy
Cooking and Entertaining
I live a healthy lifestyle and enjoy cooking elaborate healthy meals. I started to cook when I was still in diapers and grew up cooking with my great grandmother and mother. Your child will grow up in the kitchen, earning to make a scrumptious, blue ribbon apple pie.
Playing With My Buddy
Sparky , a terrier mix pup, loves hikes and going to the park to play fetch. Sparky is fantastic with children of all ages.
I’m a weekend warrior and love taking trips all over the west coast driving to Big Sur or down to San Diego. I have also traveled and explored over 20 countries. Exploring new cultures and countries will always be an essential part of my life. I think it’s the best education out there. My wish is to take your child on some of these adventures to see the world.
Yoga and Being Active
I devote myself to yoga because it allows me to practice gratitude and patience. Living in California gives me the opportunity to be outside and experience the beach and the mountains. I love taking bike rides along the beach, playing beach volleyball, camping, hiking and skiing. No matter your child athletic ability, I will encourage them to experiment to part in outdoor activities and explore nature.
My Family and Friends
I am surrounded by the most loving and fantastic group of family and friends - both are 100% behind me adopting a baby. I'm so touched and honored, I couldn't ask for better support! Both my parents have inspired me to be loving, strong, independent, and thoughtful of others. I know I will be an amazing mom because they adopted me; they were unselfishness and unconditional with their love. If you chose me to be the parent to your child, he/she would be surrounded by the same people that embrace and love me.
Friends these are the families we choose. I've been fortunate enough to find dear friends at all stages of my life, in every place I've lived. They have been with me during all the bends in the road. These friends, both men, and women are of all ethnic backgrounds and cultures but share similar values. I have a strong and loving community that encompasses my life. I find the truth in the saying, “it takes a village to raise a child.”
Home Sweet Home
In Mar Vista, I have a small bungalow home in a duplex, a mile from the beach and Venice Pier. Our communal front yard has children's’ toys and a community garden full of rosemary, sage and lavender. We decorate for Halloween and the Holidays. Each year we an Easter egg hunt for the children. A short walk away is a big grass park with a jungle gym, rope bridge, swings and monkey bars.
This adorable, and sweetheart of a pup Is not only my side kick but one of my best friends. He is also the sweetest and most loving dog you could ever imagine. He puts a smile on every face he encounters. I rescued Sparky four years ago, and it is such a joy, he makes me smile and laugh daily. All the neighborhood kids love to play with him. He is good with children of all ages and he has many playdates. He is looking forward to expanding our family as much as I am!
MY HEARTFELT THANK YOU
Thank you, again, for taking the time to know me. I have never been more excited to take on the joys and challenges of being a parent. I’ve waited for this moment for over ten years and if I am fortunate enough to adopt your baby, my dream will soon come true. My commitment to you is your child will be showered with unconditional love, daily hugs and kisses and beautiful stories about you.
“Somehow destiny comes into play. A child ends up with you and you end up with them. It’s something quite magical”
Should our adoption journey not end in a match, I wish you the very best in selecting the right parent for your child.
