Our promise to you, and your child, is that they will have the best life we can provide. They will live in a home filled with love, laughter, opportunities and a little bit of dog hair. They’ll be able to carve their own path in this world, backed by the support of two loving dads, even when life is difficult. They will forever have a stable, warm, and welcoming home surrounded by the people who love them the most. And this will be because of the courageous decision you made for them in choosing adoption. Our story began in 2017 in Houston, Texas, during Hurricane Harvey. While cooped up at home, we found one another on Instagram and began talking daily until our first date, when the waters had receded enough to drive. What started as a lunch date ended up stretching over 11 hours! We wound up at numerous comic shops, showing each other our favorite spots (some still under water), and walked around Target for a while (something we still do). All the while, we were able to get to know each other and talk about everything we wanted out of a relationship and in life. Five years later, we have almost all of those things. We have our own house, we have two dogs and a cat (Sookie, Wilson and Brigadier), and a close-knit group of friends and family. We are so excited to take the next step together in becoming parents!

I grew up in Houston, Texas with my mom being my primary caregiver. She taught me to value what I had, and never take anything for granted. She also frequently reminded me that becoming a parent was the greatest gift she'd ever received. I am so lucky that Stefan feels the same wayas I do about parenthood, and cannot wait to raise our future child together with the samecompassion and love that my mother raised me with.

For the past 12 years, I have worked in the field of Veterinary Medicine. I've always had an intense love and soft spot for animals and being their advocate. Knowing I would likely always have animals of my own at home, I wanted the knowledge and know-how to be able to care for them properly. Having moved out of the hospital settings about 4 years ago, I now get to work from home, still for a veterinary company, but now on the IT side of things. It's a little less mentally and emotionally trying than working in a clinic, but I still get to support the great people who do.

I still remember the first message Brian sent to me: “Hey, do I know you? You seem familiar.” While I still give him grief for sending this terrible pickup line, there is a sense of truth to it. From our first date I felt like I had known Brian my whole life. I know it's cheesy to bring up things like “soulmates” or “love at first sight,” but it is so difficult to imagine life without him. Being with him is as easy and natural as breathing.

Brian’s very organized and detail oriented, which I am not. He’s your typical “Type A” person which plays well in complementing all of my strengths and weaknesses as a “Type B” person. He's a homebody who loves watching, analyzing and critiquing movies and TV shows. One of my rights of passage when we were dating was watching all of the seasons of his favorite show, "Lost" with him. Brian also loves a good home improvement project, whether it be painting a wall of the house with fun designs or installing new hardware in the kitchen. Once he starts a project, it's always amazing to see the finished result! Brian is everything I never knew I was missing in my life, and I am so excited to see him be a father, because I know he’ll be amazing.

I was born into a very large and loving family, with many different backgrounds and cultures. My family’s Hispanic heritage gifted me with many customs and values that I still treasure to this day and hope to instill in our future child. My parents always encouraged me to follow my passions and dreams and to be the best at whatever I pursued in life. For me, music would be my pursuit. In high school, I was very active in band, playing the trumpet, eventually becoming band president and winning many awards and accolades.

I was accepted into the prestigious Louisiana State University School of Music and also received a full scholarship. After graduating, I was hired as a band director for a junior high school in Houston and I have been a band director now for 9 years. While many aspects of teaching are challenging, the work I do inspiring young people to work hard and love music, makes the job worth it. I am a very patient and calm individual, which is not only helpful as a teacher, but I know will help me as a parent too! I love exploring new parks and restaurants in Houston and around our community. My ideal day is spent grilling in the backyard and hosting friends and family at our house.

It's hard to describe Stefan without sounding cliché, because he is literally the most kind, patient and caring person I have ever met. He loves me and our animals unconditionally and is always there for his friends and family. Without knowing each other a week, he took care of me when I became sick with a fever. He was made to be a teacher. He enjoys being around kids, and teaching them everything he knows about music and instruments. Watching him conduct the kids in concert, you can easily tell that he is so proud of every one of them. Outside of the classroom, though, his natural element is behind a camera. The man has an eye for photography, whether it's nature, family portraits, maternity photos or just pictures of our animals. He's amazing at what he does, and I love the passion he has for it.

At home, he is the best husband I could have asked for. He is always willing to lend a hand. Even if he doesn't know what he's doing, he's going to learn and be the best at it he can be. He puts up with my vast amount of sarcasm (I like to think I'm helping him prepare for the kids in his classroom) and never hesitates to take lead in a crowd of people so his introverted husband doesn't have to. Stefan is the missing piece of my life I never knew I needed, and could not live without. I'm so excited to see him become a father, and share all his passions and love with a little one.

We are very lucky to have a close-knit group of friends and family all within 45 minutes of our home. Brian's mother, Mischelle, is 15 minutes away, and is looking forward to being over to visit and let us catch a nap here and there. Our friend group is our family, as well. They are one in the same.

We have friends of all colors, shapes and sizes, straight to LGBT, and everything in between. Your child will have multiple opportunities to learn about different nationalities and cultures. Stefan's family is Chilean, Columbian and Hispanic, and Brian's best friend of over 16 years is Puerto Rican, so needless to say there will be a wide variety of foods, languages, and traditions for your child to be enriched by.

We were lucky enough to build our first home in 2020, where we currently reside in Dickinson, Texas. It is a 3 bedroom, single-story house in a new neighborhood that serves as a melting pot for people of different ages, races, and family structures. Our backyard is huge and ready for a jungle gym or swing set in the future. Our immediate neighbors are great friends of ours, and we often hang out or have dinner with them and their 2-year-old son. We are excited to go to Christmas light parades in our neighborhood, enjoy Fourth of July festivities, and go trick-or-treating with our neighbors and their families.

Our home is close to new and older parks, as well as the Galveston beach and the Kemah Boardwalk! All are filled with families at different stages in life, enjoying the restaurants, ice cream shops and rides.

There is no shortage of puppy (and kitty) love in our home! Together we have 3 rescue animals: Sookie, Wilson and Brigadier. Sookie came to the relationship with Brian. She is a 12-year-old Shih Tzu mix, and full of love and personality. Wilson was our first toe-dip into raising a living being together. We rescued him at 10 weeks old, and he is now 4! He's a very good boy, and has all the wonderful qualities of a Labrador. Brigadier was a tiny 5-week-old kitten when we brought him home. Neither of us had raised cats before Brigadier, and we had to learn quick. He loves his dogs siblings and is part of the pack now. They are all patient and loving with kids of all ages.

We are so honored and humbled by you taking the time to learn a little about us and for considering us as adoptive parents to your baby. We want nothing more than to hear little feet running around our home, to see tiny hands reaching for ours, and to see your child progress through every milestone from crawling to walking across a stage for a diploma. Never doubt they will be loved with everything we have, and they will have every opportunity in the world to succeed and achieve their dreams.
