We are Manny & Bryan from Long Beach, California. We are beyond thankful for you reading our profile and considering us as adoptive parents for your child.
We have both grown so much together and we are so excited to finally take the next step to grow our loving family! Our relationship is built on unconditional love, happiness, trust, and support and we cannot wait to share this with a child. Adopting a child has always been something that has been important to us because it allows us to achieve our dream of being parents. We are blessed to both have wonderful and supportive families who are just as excited as us to welcome a child into our lives.
We met in 2012 through an online dating app. We joke about how we connected because Manny had just joined the dating site and barely had any information on his profile, only half of his face was showing in his photo! When Manny asked Bryan what made him reach out to him on the dating site, Bryan replied, “your profile was very mysterious!” Our first date was to a movie theater in Times Square New York and we both still remember the movie to this day (it was a terrible movie but now holds a special place in our hearts). From that day on we were practically inseparable and three years later Bryan proposed to Manny in such a sweet and romantic way including poetry (Bryan wrote it himself!) and had our favorite songs playing in the background. Seven years later, the rest is history! Throughout the years, we have not stopped laughing, traveling, and being the best partners possible to each other. Our recent travels led us to the beautiful state of California and we fell in love with the culture, weather, and friendly atmosphere. We decided to make the city of Long Beach our new home and we are
so excited to add a child into our loving journey.
I grew up in Buffalo, New York where I spent most of my life, which included many cold winters and shoveling what seemed like endless amounts of snow!
In 2011, I decided to move to New York City for college to pursue my dream of being a pharmacist. I met Bryan during my second year of pharmacy school and he was such a supportive partner during that stressful time, it made me love him even more! I currently work as a pharmacist in a hospital and I truly love what I do. Working in a hospital gives me such flexibility as an adoptive parent because I can adjust my schedule to both days and nights as needed. Outside of my career, I love going to the movies, doing outdoor activities, trying new restaurants, gardening, and interior decorating. One of the things I look forward to doing with our future child is making lifelong memories doing things I never had a chance to experience growing up, like going to Disney World!
Manny has the biggest heart in the world which is what attracted me to him! He is genuine, kind, and has such a go-getter attitude that pushes me every day to be a better version of myself. Whenever I am scared to try something new or doubt myself in any way, Manny always encourages me to dream big and reach my goals. Also, Manny is very family-oriented and his family always lights up when they see him. He helped take care of his younger siblings while growing up and even now does an excellent job taking care of his nieces and nephews when we visit. I know Manny would be a great father because he is very nurturing and patient with children. That’s just a few of the many reasons why I love him!
My family moved from the island of Jamaica and settled in New York. After I was born, my mom and father met while working at a hospital and quickly fell in love and raised my siblings and I in a loving household. I have a total of 6 siblings that I am very close to and we enjoy spending time together and taking family vacations.
Growing up I always knew I wanted to help others in whatever career I chose. Currently, I work in risk management as a Patient Safety Manager at a hospital and my role is to make sure our patients have the safest and most quality care possible. Not only do I love working in healthcare, I’ve always had an interest in law and dreamed of being a lawyer. With some encouragement from Manny, I recently decided to pursue that dream and now I’m halfway through law school! Outside of school and work, my hobbies include writing songs, singing, exercising, watching court shows, and riding bikes. One of the things I look forward to doing with our future child is watching cartoons on Saturday mornings like my family used to do when I was little and catching all the new Disney movies.
Bryan is without a doubt the nicest and most thoughtful person I have ever met! My first memory of Bryan is when we went on our first date to a movie theater, he actually asked if he could put his hand on my leg (we often laugh about that memory now). Though it may seem like a small gesture, I have never forgotten that moment because it truly showed me how respectful he is as a person and his morals. Bryan also has the amazing ability to light up a room with his smile and personality and it’s one of the things that I love most about him. Bryan is such a caring person and has such a positive spirit that I know he will be a wonderful father!

We both have loving and supportive families who cannot wait for us to start our journey as parents. Although most of our family lives in New York, we often travel back and forth several times every year especially on holidays. Manny’s grandmother, Doris, loves to cook southern food and gather the family for Thanksgiving to play games and enjoy each other’s company. Bryan’s grandmother, Marie, loves to prepare traditional Caribbean food for everyone during the holidays, especially on Christmas Eve. Our future child will never have a dull moment when visiting Manny’s family, since his toddler niece, Aubrey, and nephew, Isaac, are such balls of energy! Spending time with them is one of the reasons we knew we were ready to become parents. When we aren’t visiting our family, we are Facetiming and speaking with them often over the phone because it’s important to us to stay close even though we live far away. We cannot wait to have our families involved and continue our family traditions with our future child. Matching pajamas on Christmas are a must!
We live in a single-family home in a quiet, diverse neighborhood in Long Beach, California. Located just a few miles away from both Los Angeles and Orange County, there are so many exciting things to do in our neighborhood. There are so many nice parks and beaches nearby to go on a stroll or simply enjoy the amazing scenery. There are even a few dog beaches in the area so Tux and Chase can join in on the fun! Not to mention, we live just a half hour away from a state-of-the-art aquarium, a museum, and Disneyland! One of our favorite things about Long Beach though is that the city hosts many yearly festivals, including the annual Sea Festival where kids can actually learn how to sail. Not only is our neighborhood packed with fun activities to do, it is also home to some great elementary schools and is located near some of the best colleges in the country that will ensure our child has the best educational opportunities. Our friendly neighbors even agree that raising a child in our community is a great choice.
We currently have two wonderful dogs by the name of Tux, a shih tzu mix, and Chase, a cocker spaniel. We rescued Tux from a shelter in 2013, so he has been with us for almost our entire 10+ years together! Manny always wanted a cocker spaniel growing up, so Chase was a birthday gift from Bryan in 2015. Both dogs are full of energy and love being around us, other people, and children. Although they have opposite personalities (Tux is very outgoing and “talkative” while Chase is shy and more laid back), we always receive compliments from others about how smart and well-behaved dogs they are. We are sure they cannot wait to welcome a baby into our little family as well!
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our profile! We are so grateful for you even considering us as adoptive parents and we can assure you that we would be the absolute best parents for your little one. The love that we share for each other, our amazing families, our rewarding careers, and diverse neighborhood make a wonderful support system for raising a child. We look forward to hearing from you and also wish you the best!
