Greetings! We want to express our gratitude to you for your willingness to consider us for your special child. We are Carrie, Matt, and Charlotte, and we are so thankful that you are giving us a special chance to expand our family. Your baby will be loved by us before we even meet. We know it is God’s plan for us to adopt, and we feel so blessed to walk with you in this journey. It is impossible for us to understand what you are feeling, but know that we think you are brave and we hope you find peace. We are emotional thinking about this opportunity and our hearts are so full!
Dear Birth Mother
Our story began almost ten years ago at a small school in Dallas, where Matt was teaching and Carrie arrived as “the new teacher” down the hall. Carrie’s mom and her friends had teased Carrie that she should meet “that cute basketball coach” (Matt!) when they saw his photo in the school directory. Soon after we started dating, Matt was offered a new teaching position in San Antonio. After just a few months of dating long distance, he proposed. We were married in a beautiful wedding the next summer and Carrie moved to San Antonio to begin our lives together.
Eager for a baby, we eagerly prepared our home when our daughter Charlotte was on the way. Although getting pregnant and being pregnant was difficult for Carrie, she endured this time with grace and determination. We now enjoy spending lazy Saturdays playing with Charlotte, watching her in dancing and gymnastics classes, cooking with her, and going to her favorite playgrounds.
We are surrounded by a large extended family and a wonderful group of close friends. Our home is in a family-oriented area of San Antonio, on the edge of what is known as the “Hill Country.” The neighborhood is safe and pretty with rolling hills, many trees, and a big Texas sky. We feel very blessed at this point in our lives, but the one thing that is missing to complete us is another baby to love. We cannot wait to include the new baby in family dinners, playtime, bath and reading to the baby, and time with grandparents. We are ready!
A Little About Carrie
Carrie is a warm and loving partner. She is a great mother who always takes time to play and laugh with Charlotte. Carrie is a fun, social mom who enjoys a strong circle of close friends. She is also an accomplished business woman but she is the first to tell you that being a mommy is her first priority. Carrie previously worked in sales and later as a teacher and coach at a private school, but three years ago she became a part-time consultant with her own business that allows her to be a stay-at-home mom to Charlotte.
A Little About Matt
Matt is a tenderhearted partner who always strives to be the best husband and dad. At home, he is playful with Charlotte, always willing to step in to every task, and our family and friends all enjoy the food that he cooks. Matt appreciates date nights and spending time with our little family. Matt works as a teacher and basketball coach at a private school near our house, and this past year served as the high school principal.

A Little About Charlotte
Charlotte is a sweet, funny, and high energy little girl who believes in treating everyone with love and kindness. She is always full of ideas, coming up with new things to do. She loves swimming, dancing, gymnastics, and staging her own fashion shows. She’ll make a terrific big sister!
San Antonio is one of the largest and most beautiful cities in Texas. We live in a large, beautiful home in one of San Antonio’s warm and welcoming neighborhoods. The spacious backyard has a fence and the neighborhood is filled with trees and landscaped lawns. There is very little traffic on the streets which are filled with other families playing or walking their dogs. We recently started to build a new home in the same neighborhood that will include additional space to grow our family. The house will be built on four acres, sits on top of a hill with amazing views of the surrounding areas. We love that our neighborhood in San Antonio has great private schools, restaurants, shopping, doctors, our church, and family nearby.
Travelling is our favorite thing to do! We love going on big family trips over the summer and enjoy weekend getaways with friends.
- Carrie’s favorite place to visit: Mexico
- Matt’s favorite place to visit: Colorado
- Charlotte’s favorite place to visit: Disney World
- On Friday nights Matt cooks up a storm when we invite the family of one of Charlotte’s friends for Family Dinner
- After we go running on Saturday morning we always go out for breakfast at Tacos’n’Salsa
- Charlotte’s grandparents come over every Saturday night and we go out on our weekly date night
- Charlotte loves riding her scooter on the driveway
- Cuddling with her and reading about Fancy Nancy is the best
This is Our Village
Carrie is an only child, so when she and Matt got married and moved to San Antonio, her parents followed soon after. They just celebrated their 50th anniversary! Her parents visit often for weekly dinners, playdates with their granddaughter, and usually babysit on Saturday nights. Carrie, Matt, Charlotte, and Carrie’s parents travel together frequently.
Matt is the oldest of three. His younger brother lives in Austin and his younger sister just returned to San Antonio for graduate school. His father is a retired high school principal who lives about 10 minutes away with Matt’s stepmother who is a teacher. Matt’s mother is an elementary school principal who lives in Dallas, but will be moving to San Antonio (with Matt’s grandmother!) when she retires next year.
