Hello! We are Collin and Patrick, from Southern California, and we are thrilled to meet you! Our hearts are filled with excitement as we embark on this journey to grow our family through adoption. Words cannot express the joy we feel having the opportunity to become fathers.
As adoptive parents, we are committed to providing a secure and stable environment for our future child to explore their interests and discover their passions. Our goal is to instill values of kindness and respect for others and to create a well-rounded, curious individual ready to embrace life's opportunities and challenges.
We first met at a mutual friend's holiday party and have been together for nearly 15 years. On a warm Thanksgiving day in 2015, Collin proposed to Patrick on our favorite hike in Los Angeles called Griffith Park. We were married the following year in Patrick's parents backyard. Collins' entire family flew in and we rented beach houses close by for the weekend. Patrick's sister Katie officiated the ceremony but all of our siblings had roles throughout the occasion. We chose orange to be our wedding colors and potted succulents from our garden as our flower arrangements so friends and family could bring a memory home.
Throughout our time together, we've learned that love, laughter, and teamwork are the most important things to having a successful relationship.
One of our strengths is that we both come from large, close-knit families that have been nothing but supportive of our dreams and of us becoming fathers.
I was born in Boulder Colorado, the youngest of 3. We lived in a small mountain community outside Estes Park Colorado. It's a beautiful place that we still enjoy visiting. After high school, I went on to Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado to study civil engineering.
A family vacation to California introduced me to West Coast living and I instantly fell in love with the culture. While in Los Angeles, I enrolled at Woodbury University to study architecture, participating in many study-abroad programs in Rome, Embudo, Mexico City, Beijing, and Berlin. After graduation, I took a position at an engineering land development firm in Beverly Hills, the place I currently work for and hope to one day become a partner at.
I’m looking forward to the next stage of my life when I get to dedicate myself to being your father and give our child the same loving guidance that I was fortunate enough to have.
Collin is one of the most enthusiastic people I've ever met. He's the friend in the group who always says "YES!" to the plan. That can be agreeing to an adventurous 4-wheeling trip through a muddy rainforest, a cross country camping trip in the snow, or a simple gesture of support to a friend who just needs a shoulder to cry on.
He has an uncanny ability to make sour situations sweet and the mundane exciting. Collin's enthusiasm also shows in his loyalty and dedication to his family and friends. Although miles may separate Collin from his Colorado family, the pure joy they show when he's around is a true testament to their love for each other.
It’s all these amazing qualities that make Colin an amazing husband, and I have no doubt we make him a terrific father.
After studying art history in college and then working for a nonprofit in New York City, I decided to go back to school to study photography formally. I always loved taking photos as an art form but grew to appreciate it more as an adult for the power it has to convey emotion without words and its subtle beauty in an often chaotic world.
The pull to the West Coast was strong and after my move to Los Angeles I was able to transfer these skills into the world of entertainment through marketing and cinematography, where I find myself now.
Growing up in Philadelphia, our parents always encouraged me and my siblings Rob, Katie, and Sean, to pursue our dreams. It's no coincidence that we all ended up in the creative arts! I hope that one day I can convey those supportive messages of creativity to the next generation.
I can only hope that as a growing family. We always have a creative outlet to express ourselves, and to share that gained knowledge with the world around us.
I love that Patrick finds inspiration in capturing life's beauty through his lens. His love for photography intertwines seamlessly with his passion for surfing; he's often seeking the perfect wave to ride or the perfect photograph to capture the spirit of the moment. He talks about how he's a water baby and that surfing helps him find solace and exhilaration in the day to day of life.
Beyond his artistic endeavors, Patrick is renowned for his infectious, love for celebration he thrives on using any opportunity, big or small to bring people together and create memorable experiences.
His knack for orchestrating festivities turns even the simplest occasions into vibrant and joyous affairs. A self proclaimed holiday enthusiast, whether it's a traditional holiday or an offbeat observance, he finds creative ways to infuse fun and festivity into these moments, making each occasion a reason for laughter, togetherness, and joy.

We both come from vibrant, blended families. In Colorado, Collin's extended family, including stepparents and half-siblings, shares an overwhelming sense of excitement and support our decision to adopt.
Similarly, Patrick's family in Southern California resonates with the joys of remarriage. With both parents having found new partners, the household resonates with excitement as we prepare for our adoption. The blend of family members paints a picture of harmonious coexistence, where love and support transcend the boundaries of traditional family structures.
Our families prioritize spending quality time together and are fortunate to see each other often throughout each year. Everyone is over the moon with happiness about our decision to adopt and are excited to embrace this new chapter in our lives.
Fractious McSock, aka Frack, is a 9-year-old Terrier ILabrador mix rescue dog. Of all the many furry family members we have had over the years, Frack is certainly the most interesting. What this hilarious fuzz ball lacks in fresh breath, he more than makes up for in loyalty.
Frack's best friend, Scraps lives around the corner with Patrick's sister Katie. Together these two are an overload of cuteness and have been known to melt many hearts around town.
Frack's Favorite Pastimes: Laying on the grass in the backyard and sunning his belly. Playing fetch with literally anything he can find. Sticking his head out the car window on road trips.

Although not native to California, every member of Patrick's immediate family is now less than a two-hour drive from us. Being able to spend birthdays, holidays and Sunday dinners with parents, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews all under one roof is a dream come true. We truly believe "it takes a village" when raising a child, and we're extremely lucky to live in one!
We understand that this may be a challenging decision for you, and we deeply respect your courage and strength. If you choose us to be your child’s adopted parents who promised to honor and cherish the unique journey that brought us together. We are committed to maintaining an open and honest relationship with you, ensuring that your child knows your adoption story with love and understanding. No matter what you decide, we wish you happiness, strength, and love in your path ahead.
