THANK YOU for taking the time to get to know us. We have so much respect and admiration for the brave decision you are making. We are so grateful that you are considering us, and please know that you have a special place in our hearts. We hope our story will give you some comfort in knowing that we are a loving and caring family, and we are excited to welcome your child into our lives.
Hi! We are Tiffany and Jason (and Penelope!)
We met in 2007 through mutual friends and fell in love on New Year’s Eve, 2011. Our travels started when we left Kansas City and moved to Chicago. We lived there for a few years before moving to our current home in Rhode Island. We look forward to moving back to Kansas City one day to be closer to our families.
After years of fertility struggles and a miscarriage, we were left with a choice of adoption, IVF or nothing. We knew we wanted to start a family, which is why we chose adoption. As fate would have it, we did get pregnant (and stayed pregnant) and welcomed our wonderful baby girl into the world in late 2019. We know that getting pregnant again is not a possibility for us. This is why we are still very committed to expanding our family of three to a family of four through adoption.
We love to travel! Phoenix is like our home away from home, as we go for baseball spring training each spring. We’ve traveled to many different places, but our favorite, so far, was seeing the Northern Lights in Iceland.
About Tiffany, By Tiffany
I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. My mom, Betty, lived in El Paso, Texas and eventually moved to Kansas City. She was one of four; two brothers and one sister. I have one younger brother, Matthew. He is married to Heather and they have a son who is 12 and a daughter who is 4. My brother and I are very close. My mom passed away in 2017, and my brother and I were able to get through it, no doubt due to how she raised us. I know she will be watching out and guiding me as we begin this new chapter in our lives. My brother is excited to be an uncle for the second time, and I know he will spoil our kids, just as much as I have spoiled his. We are all so excited to welcome a new member to the family!
About Tiffany, By Jason
Tiffany is one of the most loving and patient people I have ever met. I am truly blessed to be with somebody as strong as she is. During these last few years she has become the first female Development Director and now Chief Operating Officer of the Boy Scout Council in our area. We have grown to do almost everything together including diaper changes.
About Jason, By Jason
I grew up in Wichita, Kansas to two wonderful parents who still live there. I have one older brother, Tobias, who lives in Lenexa, Kansas with his son, Cohen, who is 13. During my childhood, family was very important to us. We had Easter at my aunt Anita’s house, 4th of July at dad’s cousin Jody’s house and Thanksgiving on my dad’s side has to be held at a church hall because our family is so big! We also have a smaller Thanksgiving dinner at my grandma’s (mom’s mom) house. Since childhood, I have always been active. I played baseball, cross-country, and track. These days, I am an avid outdoorsman. I enjoy spending time kayaking in the ocean and rock climbing. I can’t wait to expand our family and continue to share my love of the outdoors.
About Jason, By Tiffany
Jason is so kind, helpful, thoughtful, patient, and modest. He is very calm and helps me unwind after a long day at work, sometimes just by making dinner that night or going out to get ice cream. He is always working to be and do better. He is so good at his job! He will go the extra mile for his clients and that just shows how passionate he is about helping people. I love that about him. Jason is an amazing father and I can’t wait for him to share that love with another child. He is truly one of my favorite people.
Our Neck of the Woods
We live in a small neighborhood just south of Providence. We have great neighbors; one even brings us fish from his morning fishing trips! We also have a great mix of families on our street; we have babies up to teens, young families and old. There is an elementary school at the end of our street and we are just a short walk to the neighborhood beach. Our house is a three bedroom with a huge yard! The best part about living in such a small state is that we are able to travel all over. We can start our day apple picking at the north end of the state and be at the ocean at the south end of the state by lunch.
We love participating in local events like the Providence Waterfire and the annual Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular (hosted by our local zoo), and we attend Food Truck Fridays as often as we can. Sometimes Food Truck Fridays also have a concert or movie in the park. We are excited to make this a new family tradition.
