Hello! We’re so excited and honored that you took the time to stop by and read more about us. We are Spencer and Kameron and our dog, Mochi, too! We live in Fullerton, in sunny Southern California and have been together for 7 years. Since our first date, we’ve always considered adoption when we’ve talked about building our family. Becoming dads has always been our dream and we promise to raise your child with love, support, honesty, and safety. We look forward to potentially getting to know more about you, and starting this journey together. Thank you!

At the beginning of our relationship, we talked openly about our hope to build our family through adoption. Adoption has always been a part of our lives in both of our families. We have first-hand experience with several family members who were welcomed through adoption and they have shared how deeply meaningful it has been for them. We deeply believe in the idea of a chosen family and that any family can be built through commitment, love, and acceptance. We’re incredibly excited and grateful for the possibility of becoming parents and growing our family.

We met by chance 7 years ago through a series of events that made it feel like fate. After both returning to San Francisco, (Spencer returned from working in Asia, and Kameron returned to be closer to family), we crossed paths thanks to canceled plans and a Pokémon movie and have been inseparable ever since. We instantly bonded over our shared love of nerd / pop culture (our first date was at a Japanese arcade), Disney, theme parks, food, travel, dogs, and our strong connection to family. We got married 3 years ago and we recently purchased our first home in Southern California to lay the foundation for starting our family. These days, we explore the many diverse cultures of Southern California with our dog Mochi, cook together, spend time with loved ones, and the frequent after-work trips to Disneyland.

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area as the oldest of three brothers, and have lived in Boston, Asia, and Los Angeles. I studied Theatre, and began my career in TV production and theme park design. My love of storytelling and creating meaningful experiences eventually led me into Human Resources where I found deep fulfillment working closely with people. Collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds has strengthened my appreciation for empathy, communication, and human connection. I work remotely which will allow me to spend more time with our future child. I come from a family that loves to cook, so I’m often experimenting in the kitchen. In my free time, I enjoy visiting theme parks, reading, traveling, indoor cycling, and going to live theatre. I’ve always been a bit nerdy and proudly embrace my love of anime, Pokémon, and video games. I encourage my friends and family to celebrate what they love, because those passions make us unique. I hope to pass that same confidence and self-acceptance on to our future child.

From the moment we met, Spencer’s infectious energy, humor, and love for life stood out. He’s incredibly creative and artistic which shines everyday in his work and home life. He brings constant joy into our home with his jokes, spontaneous dances and playful spirit. Early in our relationship, we bonded over our shared desire to build a family through adoption. Throughout our relationship we’ve talked about how excited we are to become parents—sharing our cultures, cooking together, and creating meaningful memories like going to Disneyland regularly and traveling. What impresses me is Spencer’s ability to be naturally caring and supportive. He showers Mochi with love every day and has been a fun and involved Uncle to our many nieces and nephews. He loves playing fun games, listening to their stories, reading them books, telling them about the world and making them laugh. I know Spencer will be an amazing dad, offering unconditional love and helping our future child grow into their best self.

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area as the youngest of three boys. I spent my childhood playing sports, exploring outdoors through boy scouting, and being active in the Japanese American community. My family is very close and we spend a lot of time together, especially to celebrate our Japanese heritage. I’d describe myself as compassionate, driven, and inquisitive with a love for dogs, running, travel, theme parks, video games, and cooking at home. My appreciation for the Earth led me to study Environmental Science. After working in the green industry, I’ve spent the last 15 years in startup / tech where I’ve worked on some of the world’s largest internet and social media products. Working in tech gives me the flexibility to work remotely so I can spend more time at home with our future child. I’ve always wanted to be a parent (and having several nieces and nephews have helped me prepare!) and I can’t wait to raise our future child filled with love, adventure, good food, and fun.

Kameron is one of those people everyone loves to be around. Our first date was at an arcade, and I could immediately see how kind and fun-loving he was as he taught me to play games I’d never tried before. He’s compassionate, a natural problem solver, and always ready with thoughtful advice. I have never met someone so aware of and considerate toward the world around him, and it’s something I deeply admire. Kameron is a natural in the kitchen, and some of my favorite memories are of him blending my Jewish heritage with his Japanese heritage through food. He’s an incredible uncle to our nieces and nephew, always eager to play, joke, and genuinely connect with them. What excites me most about him becoming a parent is the way he leads with love, humor, and care. I know our future child will grow up surrounded by his warmth and support, feeling safe to be themselves and encouraged to embrace their uniqueness.

We live in Fullerton in Southern California! Our home is surrounded by several wildlife nature preserves, beautiful public parks, and scenic hiking trails. We have put a lot of care into making our home a warm and fun place where we love spending time together. Since we both work from home, there is usually music playing and our days are often filled with cooking, gardening on the patio, and taking long walks with Mochi. We intentionally chose this community for our family because of its extremely culturally diverse neighborhoods, and for its top-ranked school district. One of our favorite things about living here is being just a short drive from historic Downtown Fullerton where we enjoy exploring local shops, restaurants, and the weekly farmers market. Our area also has access to one of the best rated public libraries in the US which we look forward to visiting regularly with our future child. Living in Southern California also gives us easy access to the beach, the mountains, and Disneyland which makes us feel incredibly lucky. We can’t wait to create new memories in our community and home with our future child!

Our 10-year old Rat Terrier rescue dog Kameron found Mochi abandoned when he was a puppy and took him into his home. Mochi loves to sunbathe on the patio, snooze on the couch, go for long walks, and play fetch / tug-o-war with his favorite Lamb Chop toy. He loves people and always wants to snuggle with any human. We know Mochi will be an amazing older brother to our future child and we can’t wait to see them grow up together!

We’re both really close with our families and see them often, as many of them live in California. Kameron’s brother has two children who are our adorable nieces, and Spencer’s brother has one young son (with another on the way!), so our future child will have plenty of cousins close in age to grow up with. We also have a very large group of close friends who also have young children who call us “Uncle” and our future child will have even more “cousins” to play with. We’re honored to have a very big community of family and friends who will support us on our adoption journey. While our parents have several grandchildren already, both sets of parents are extremely excited to bring in another grandchild for them to spoil. We typically take a big family trip every year, including going to Hawai’i to see Kameron’s family and winters and summers at our family lake house in Lake Tahoe. Both of our families are also very multicultural and we have several adopted family members so bringing in an adopted child is extremely welcome in our family even if they don’t come from the same background as us. Family is important to us and we know our future child will have a big family to welcome them with open arms and shower them with plenty of love and support.

Our family comes from both Japanese and Eastern European/Jewish backgrounds. We love celebrating traditions with our family from Japanese New Year and Obon Odori (folk dancing) to Hanukkah and Passover. These traditions bring us together and help us stay connected to our roots. As your child becomes part of our family, we want to incorporate your family’s traditions and culture as well so they stay connected their roots as they grow up.

We will teach your child the importance of love, kindness, compassion, and respect. We want them to grow up confident and independent so we will encourage them to face challenges, be courageous, and stay curious about the world. We also believe in the power of education. We will nurture a love of learning and help them explore new ideas so they can follow their passions and reach their full potential.

Our hope as parents is to create a home filled with love, warmth, and reassurance—a place where our future child always feels safe, valued, and understood. We believe children thrive when they know they are deeply loved and supported and we’re committed to building a foundation of trust, stability, and care. We look forward to sharing the values that we grew up with; the importance of family, education, hard work, and honoring where we come from, while instilling our values as a couple of empathy, open and honest communication, and curiosity about the world. We cherish togetherness, especially simple moments like cooking meals, gathering around the dinner table, having fun, and spending quality time as a family. We also want our future child to grow up with an appreciation for different cultures, perspectives, and experiences and we’ll give them the opportunity to experience this both locally and abroad. Above all, we promise to nurture our future child as their own unique person and support their dreams and passions.
