Hello, we are Kevin, Matthew and Isla from San Diego, California. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us and for considering us as adoptive parents for your child. Growing our family through adoption has been one of the greatest blessings of our lives, and after two wonderful years with our daughter, we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to grow our family again. We've experienced more joy, laughter, and love than we ever imagined, and we would be honored to welcome another child into our lives.

Our home is filled with warmth, encouragement, and plenty of fun. We look forward to raising your child in a caring environment where they feel safe and supported. We are committed to helping them discover their passions, build confidence, and know every day just how deeply they are loved.

We met through a dating app in 2016 and spent nearly two months getting to know each other before meeting in person. By the time we finally had our first date, it already felt like we had known each other for years. We spent hours talking about our families, friends, dreams, and our shared love of adventure.

At the time, Matthew was beginning a new career in healthcare, and Kevin was finishing his degree at San Diego State University. As our relationship grew, we became each other's biggest supporters and best friends. Whether we're hiking, traveling, or enjoying time at home, we've built a relationship rooted in trust, teamwork, and love.

Looking back, we're grateful that one conversation led us to the life we share today and the joy of being parents.

I grew up in San Jose, California with my parents, older brother, close extended family and friends who felt like family. We had lots of nearby hills and lakes so I developed an early love for exploring, being outdoors, and trying new adventures. My parents taught me the importance of kindness, responsibility, and working hard to achieve my goals.

One of the most memorable experiences of my life was going on a Semester at Sea study abroad program in college where I traveled around the world with 500 other students! This opened my eyes to different cultures and started my love of travel and learning.

Today, I work for a healthcare artificial intelligence company where I help hospitals improve patient care. I appreciate having a flexible schedule that allows me to spend plenty of time with my family.

Becoming a father has been the greatest joy of my life. I love exploring the world through my daughter's eyes, whether we're at the beach, the zoo, reading books together, playing outside, or discovering something new. Watching her learn and grow has made me even more excited about welcoming another child into our family.

Adventure has always been part of who I am. I love traveling, mountain biking, trying new foods, and discovering new experiences.

Matthew is one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I know. When we met in person for the first time, he asked for my consent before kissing me. It may seem like a small moment, but it told me everything I needed to know about the person he was. His kindness, respect, and genuine care for others were the reasons I knew I wanted to build a life with him. That moment was so meaningful that I even included it in my wedding vows.

Matthew has a special way of making the people around him feel valued and loved. He knows how much I love the ocean and marine life, so he even quoted my favorite movie, The Little Mermaid, in his wedding vows. Those thoughtful gestures are simply part of who he is.

Seeing the bond between Matthew and our daughter is one of my greatest joys. He leads with patience, encouragement, and unconditional love, and I know any child in our family will always feel supported, safe, and deeply loved.

Growing up as the middle of five boys taught me the importance of teamwork, patience, and always looking out for one another. I stayed busy playing varsity swimming and water polo, spending time with friends, and making memories with my brothers. Even with an active social life, I worked hard in school and always enjoyed learning.

After starting college at UC Irvine, I took time away from school to help my family when they needed me most. Eight years later, I returned to finish what I had started and earned my business degree from San Diego State University. That experience taught me the value of perseverance and putting family first.

Today, I work in Human Resources helping families hire in-home caregivers. My flexible schedule allows me to spend plenty of time with our family, and I love working with Matthew to make sure we are always there for our daughter and future child.

My friends would say I'm kind, caring, and hardworking. I enjoy helping others, whether it's through my work, my family, or simply being there for the people I love.

Kevin is one of the most caring and thoughtful people I know. He has a huge heart and is always the first person family and friends turn to when they need advice or someone to listen. One of the things I admire most about him is his determination. He worked his way through college, paying his own tuition, and graduated magna cum laude from San Diego State University.

Kevin has a natural way of making everyone around him feel loved, including our two dogs, Lilly and Oia, who are truly part of our family. He also loves the ocean and is happiest at the beach, swimming, paddle boarding, or visiting an aquarium.

One of my favorite things is watching Kevin share those experiences with our daughter. Seeing her excitement as he introduces her to the animals and sea life he loves reminds me every day what an incredible father he is. I can't wait to watch those memories continue to grow.

Kevin is one of the most reliable, selfless, and loving people I know. He brings that same kindness and care to our family every day.

Watching him become a dad has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Seeing the love and patience he shares with our daughter makes me even more excited for all the adventures yet to come.

One of our favorite things about living in San Diego is all the ways we can enjoy time together as a family. On weekends, you'll often find us paddle boarding at Mission Bay, hiking local trails, riding our beach cruisers along the coast, or spending a day at the beach. We also have memberships to the San Diego Zoo and SeaWorld, so visits to see the animals are a regular part of our family adventures. Between Balboa Park, museums, and community events, there is always something fun to discover together.

When we're in the mood for a quieter day, we enjoy playing board games, relaxing at home, or watching our saltwater fish tank together.

Travel is another passion we share. Matthew's Semester at Sea experience sparked his love of exploring the world, and Kevin grew up taking family road trips. Together, we've been fortunate to visit many beautiful places, and we look forward to sharing those adventures with our children as they grow.

Life in San Diego means sunshine, ocean breezes, and endless opportunities to be outside. We love spending time at the beach, exploring new places, and making memories together as a family.

We feel incredibly lucky to call coastal San Diego home, especially our neighborhood of University Heights. With beautiful weather, friendly neighbors, and local businesses all within walking distance, it's an amazing place to raise a family. We know many of our neighbors by name, and it's common to stop and chat during a morning walk or while watching children play outside after school. It truly feels like the kind of neighborhood where people look out for one another.

Just a short walk from our home is Trolley Barn Park, one of our favorite places to spend time together. Families gather at the playground, enjoy picnics, and come together for summer concerts and neighborhood events. We also love walking to local coffee shops, restaurants, and our favorite ice cream shop, which uses ingredients grown by students at the neighborhood elementary school our children will attend.

Our neighborhood gives us endless opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and create memories together as a family. Combined with the close-knit community of University Heights, we couldn't imagine a better place for our children to grow, explore, and feel at home.

When we began dreaming about growing our family, we knew we wanted a home with room to grow alongside it. We took on a project to nearly double the size of our house, adding two bedrooms, a family room, and a seamless connection to our backyard.

Today, our home is filled with laughter, love, and space for family adventures. We look forward to creating many more memories together as our family continues to grow.

Our daughter, Isla, was born here in San Diego in 2024 and joined our family through adoption. Now 19 months old, she is a happy, sweet, and social little girl who brings so much joy and laughter to our home. We are grateful to keep in touch with Isla's birth mom and for the special place she will always have in Isla's story.

Isla loves animals (especially our two dogs!), dancing to music, playing in the water, and spending time with her cousins. She loves babies and is always curious and gentle when she sees one. Watching her grow has been the greatest joy, and we know she would be a loving, playful, and very proud big sister.

We both have an intense love for animals!

If Kevin could have his way, we would own a zoo! Our two dogs, Lilly and Oia (Eeh Ah), definitely keep us on our toes. Who would have thought that a 4 pound Maltese and an 8 pound Morkie could have such huge and sweet personalities? They love treats, cuddling, and making new friends.

One of our favorite things is watching Lilly and Oia play with our daughter and greet family and friends when they visit. They bring so much love and laughter to our home, and we know they'll always be wonderful companions as our family grows.

Family and friends are at the heart of our lives, and we feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by people who love and support us. Our families have embraced each other from the beginning and have been by our side throughout our adoption journey. Our daughter is growing up surrounded by love, encouragement, and strong role models, and we know another child would be welcomed with that same excitement.

We feel so grateful that our children will grow up surrounded by loving cousins, caring adults, and lifelong friends. We couldn't imagine a better community to share life's special moments together.

One of our favorite family traditions is celebrating the holidays together. Since both of our families live nearby, we get to enjoy the best of both worlds. Every Christmas, we spend Christmas Eve with Kevin's family and Christmas Day with Matthew's family, making the holiday extra special.

One of our favorite parts of Christmas is sharing the traditions that make each family unique. We look forward to homemade Mexican dishes with Kevin's family and delicious Greek recipes with Matthew's family. Seeing the holidays through our daughter's eyes has made these traditions even more special. Bringing these traditions together reminds us how fortunate we are to have such loving families and creates memories we look forward to sharing for years to come.

Family is at the center of everything we do. Growing up in close, loving families showed us the importance of kindness, honesty, and always being there for one another. Those are the same values we hope to pass on to our children every day.
