We are Laura and Ajay. We are so grateful you are considering us as adoptive parents for your child. We will be honest with your child about their adoption story and how loving and courageous their birth mother was in making such a selfless decision. We trust there is a reason our paths have crossed and wish you peace of mind and heart in your life.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us better. Starting a family is something we have wanted for a very long time and we are excited for the possibility of making that dream a reality with you.

We have been in a committed relationship for over 15 years. We met in graduate school while studying psychology on the road to both becoming therapists. In 2012 we moved to Sacramento and started to put down roots together. We both strongly value self-growth and learning and strive to be caring and responsible individuals in our community.

We are both artists and also very creative people. We can’t wait to be parents and offer an expressive, fun-loving environment for our future child. We have always known we wanted several children to add to our family. For many years we have tried to naturally conceive and even fostered two baby boys during the pandemic. Fostering was a wonderful experience but didn’t help us build our family, so we naturally migrated toward private adoption to keep our dream alive. We feel the reason for our challenges is because our forever baby wasn’t born yet. We now know in our hearts we are right where we need to be.

I was born and raised in Southern California in the Los Angeles area. At 16 I moved to Northern California to my Dad’s ranch out in the country. So I got the best of both worlds - I’m half urban artist and half country farmer!

In my spare time you might find me in the greenhouse propagating succulents and cactus, bargain hunting at flea markets, buying, selling and restoring mid-century furniture and collecting rare vintage finds.

I went to Art School and focused on sculpture and photography. Now I am a therapist! I support many individuals to grow, learn and overcome their struggles. I love my pets, my plants, my art, my friends, and most importantly all the children in my community!

I was born and raised in Northern California in the Bay Area. I grew up in a loving home with my father, mother and older sister. Our family camped a lot! Growing up I loved learning at school and playing team sports.

I went to college thinking I was going to play soccer but a sports injury sent me down a different path. I became interested in meditation and studying other cultures. I even got to travel to Spain for one year of college which was a truly wonderful experience. That’s where I learned to speak Spanish.

I am a therapist and a meditation teacher. I play sound bowls for my circle of students for the healing effect it offers. I love what I do - empowering others to live their best life!

In my spare time you might find me walking our dog Zephyr, hiking the hills, collaging in my art journal, studying astrology or spending time with my mom and sister who I am VERY close to.

We Love Our City of Sacramento! It is a lively city with a thriving art scene but also has a small town vibe. Our house is tucked away on a quiet, spacious block in the suburbs with a lush greenbelt behind our backyard and a brand new playground within feet from our back gate.

We live near several rivers where we take the dog to tromp around and explore nature! Here in The Central Valley we are surrounded by farmland and love going apple picking, taking kiddos to the farms to pet the pigs and goats and hope to one day take our child to the pumpkin patches and Christmas tree farms nearby! We live close to one of the best schools in Sacramento. It is a diverse public Waldorf school that encourages mindfulness, creative expression and empathy.

Our family and friends are very important to us! We are fortunate to have a big supportive community made up of both family and our chosen village. Laura’s family is an hour away so we see them often. We are very close to Laura’s older sister, her husband and their two children. We love being Aunties! Laura’s mom is a wise generous elder that would do anything for her kids and grandkids. Ajay’s lifelong best friend lives here in Sacramento with her husband and three kids. She is like a sister to us and Ajay has been a beloved Auntie to their three kids from the minute they each were born. We spend a lot of our weekends together with them doing craft projects and taking fun trips to the river. We host a lot of gatherings at our house and feel welcome in the homes of so many wonderful, caring people.

Thank you for making our dream of raising and loving a child a possibility. We are endlessly grateful. We hope we have given you a glimpse into our lives and have shown you that your child will be surrounded by love and deeply nurtured in our home.
