WE CAN’T WAIT TO MEET YOU,
Luke and Sarah
Our relationship is based on honesty, respect, trust, and love. Our Story began in 2007 when we first met each other at work. We were both servers at a local Italian restaurant. After accidentally going out on a date (Luke thought they were just going to dinner as friends, Sarah perceived it differently), we instantly hit it off and have been inseparable ever since. We got engaged in 2010 on an Italian Gondola ride through Newport Harbor.
Sarah retrieved a bottle from the water that had a letter enclosed asking her to marry Luke. Fifteen months later, we got married at a local country club. Our wedding was one of the most magical days of our lives. Surrounded by all of our friends and family, we were finally going to be man and wife.
We decided to spend our honeymoon in Honolulu, Hawaii. Hawaii is a place that is special to both of us. In Luke’s early 20s, he decided one day that he wanted to move to Hawaii. So he packed a bag, purchased a one way ticket and set out. He ended up living there for six months. While he was there, he learned to surf, hiked all through the Ko’olau Mountain ranges, and met several friends from around the world.
Sarah and her family vacationed in Hawaii several times throughout her childhood. She has been to multiple Hawaiian islands and experienced all that the culture has to offer. Since our honeymoon, we have developed a joint love for the ocean. Every time we take a vacation it is hard for us to not travel to somewhere near the water.
Meet Sarah by Luke
I fell in love with Sarah the moment we started dating. I even told my sister within the first week that I was going to marry her. Sarah has a way of bringing joy to everyone around her and is always thinking of ways to serve others. I have had the pleasure of watching Sarah graduate college and go to grad school earning several post baccalaureate degrees, she has such a determination and focus for academic achievement. She is an excellent artist, she loves to paint with acrylic and watercolor paints on all different type of surfaces: her favorite thing to paint are ocean scenes and florals. As a teacher, Sarah has been totally devoted to her students and has spent many long hours ensuring they receive adequate instruction both during and after class. I truly value and respect how strong she has been in dealing with many difficult situations in her life both personally and professionally, and know that her determination to do the right thing and move forward will continue to serve her well in the future. She has a heart for children, and I cannot wait to see her be a mother and be able to raise a family with her, she is so compassionate, and caring I cannot think of another person with the skill set and vision that she has. She is always up for adventure and is always supported me when I have last minute crazy plans. I know that Sarah will be an incredibly dedicated, loving, and caring mother. Sarah will support and nurture your child’s interests and ideas and will always be there to give advice or just listen and offer encouragement.
I had a wonderful childhood filled with love and adventure. My dad had a job that took us all around the United States. I have lived in Nevada, Missouri, Texas, Kentucky, and California. It was remarkable experiencing different cultures and making friends all over the country. Because I moved so much, my family and I are very close. I have one brother whom I am very close to. My mom is my best friend. I talk to her on the phone at least three times a day. When it came time for college, I couldn’t image leaving my parents and chose to attend a local University. I majored in English, with a minor in Communications. I had every intention of becoming a High School English teacher. After graduation, I enrolled in credentialing school. There, I attained three credentials in English, Multiple-Subjects for elementary school, as well as Administration. I went back to school a year later and got my Masters degree in Education. While going through credentialing school, I subbed at several elementary schools and fell in love with little kids. I realized that younger kids were my passion and where I was meant to teach. I am currently a 5th grade teacher and love every minute of it. Because I am a teacher, I have great work hours. I’m off all holidays, weekends, and during the summer. I am planning on taking a year off work when the baby arrives.
Fun Facts about Sarah:
- Collects American Girl dolls (I have 14)

- Caramel M&Ms are my favorite candy
- Fantasy novels are my go to escape
- Has taught five grade levels: Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th
All about Luke Through Sarah’s Eyes
I love Luke more today than I did the day I married him. He has a way of making everyone around him smile. Luke has every quality in a man that I imagined for both a husband and a father. He is a hard-worker and good provider for his family. As a prominent individual in his company, he was recently selected as one of 50 people to attend a 5 week Leadership Academy. While there, he learned skills on how to be an expert leader, not just in a work setting, but also with his family, friends, and community. Luke knows the value of education. As a young adult, he worked multiple jobs to put himself through college. He enjoys learning and is often engulfed in the readings of Historical events or new Scientific discoveries. Luke’s kind heart is one of the main reasons that I fell in love with him. He is always the first one to go out of his way to help a relative, a friend, or a co-worker whenever they are in need. Luke is one of the most talented people that I have ever known. He enjoys working with his hands and has built several pieces of furniture in our home, including our dining room table. Luke has a wonderful gift in that he can play both the cello and the piano. It never ceases to amaze me how he can listen to a song and within minutes be playing it on the piano. I cannot wait for him to teach our child one day! Luke will be an amazing father. He is enthusiastic, fun, and always up for a new adventure. He will devote his time to teaching your child and guiding them as they grow. He will love and support them unconditionally. He will always be there to encourage them and mentor them through every phase of his/her life.
I had the pleasure of growing up in a beautiful, historic, craftsman home with my parents and sisters. I am the middle child and only boy with two older sisters and two younger sisters. Because I was the only boy, I was often the ring leader of the group. My sisters were forced to go along with whatever crazy adventures that I would come up with. As a teenager, I often spent my free time working with my dad. He is a contractor and instilled several skills in me such as masonry, wood working, and mechanics. One of my favorite hobbies, as an adult, is building furniture. My sisters and I are all still close. We text often and see each other as much as possible. In 2006, I was overjoyed when I became “Uncle Luke” to my first niece. Since then, my sister has had two more daughters and a son. It is always exciting when my nieces and nephew come into town and we get to have them over. I graduated from college with my Bachelors degree in Communications and Marketing. I am currently the Store Manager of one of the largest National Retail Chains. I enjoy the fast pace work environment and face to face communication. I have always been a people person and could never imagine having a job where I sit all day in an office. Because I am the store manager, I make my own hours, and usually have weekends off.

We enjoy a Christmas brunch in our PJs at Sarah’s parents’ house.

How we have fun
We are a young, fun couple that loves spending time together. Our ideal day is hanging out at home, BBQing with our friends and family, and listening to classic vinyl. On the weekends we love to go to our family’s vacation house on the central coast. While there, we enjoy going to the beach, eating at the local restaurants, and going to the historical drive-in movie theatre. It quickly has become “our happy place!”
Our Home and Community
We live in a charming home in a quiet community in Central California. We purchased our home about a year after we were married. It was important for us to live somewhere that we would feel comfortable raising a family. We are located about two hours from the beach and an hour from the mountains. Our home has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and is at the end of a cul-de-sac. We have a private community park less than five minutes away with playing fields, walking paths, and children’s play structures.
Olive or “Olive Rose” is our 6-year-old Chihuahua Mix. Olive has a very caring personality. She genuinely loves people and gets so excited when anyone comes to visit. We have several friends and family members with kids that she enjoys playing with. We take her with us wherever we travel. She loves going to the beach and playing in the sand.
