Hello! We are Natalie and Alexis from Los Angeles, California! Thank you for getting to know us. We are so grateful to you for considering us as adoptive parents for your child. We admire and respect you for making this brave choice.
We promise to love & adore your child, and we will value every day we get to spend with them. We have wanted to become adoptive parents for a long time. We love our life together, have built a home together, and have great family, friends, and pets. We are so excited to share all of this with your baby. We promise to unconditionally love, support, and nurture your child. We will play together, read together, and explore the world together. We will love and accept your child for who they are and always help them to feel safe and secure in the world.
We met in 2010 in San Francisco, California. We were introduced by a close mutual friend and immediately clicked. One of our first dates somehow turned into a road trip, and the rest is history. Three years later, we got married in a small backyard ceremony surrounded by our families and closest friends, with Alexis’ best friend Jessica officiating.
We have spent the last 12 years supporting each other through graduate school, building our careers in medicine and law, and creating a warm home with our pets that we adore. We have continued to have lots of adventures, including co-running a small animal rescue organization, hiking in Patagonia, and visiting Natalie’s family in Spain.
Our favorite activities include meeting friends for a picnic or dinner, walking our dogs, catching a movie or live comedy show, and quiet nights at home cuddling on the couch. We both care deeply for our communities and the environment and try to practice sustainable living as much as we can. But, more than anything, our relationship is built on a shared sense of humor and fun. We are so excited to start a family and have so much we want to share with our future child.
I grew up in San Diego, California with my parents and younger brother, David. My family is bilingual in English and Spanish. I played soccer, basketball, and tennis growing up and also loved science and reading.
I went to Stanford University for college and then attended medical school. I am now a doctor who works with kids and families and teaches younger doctors-in-training. My job at a university provides a flexible schedule, where I work from home at least half the week and largely set my own hours. I am also lucky to get 8 weeks off each year.
Besides children, my main passions are animals, nature, and home projects. I also like to cook new recipes for my family and friends.
I am so excited to read books, cook, do crafts, and explore parks with our future child.
Natalie is my best friend and greatest source of support. She is deeply caring, extraordinarily committed to helping people through her work and community service, and the most dependable person that I know. She’s also an excellent cook and is constantly impressing me with the home repair skills she has learned on YouTube! I love her sense of humor and her willingness to be silly with me.
Natalie is going to be one of those great moms that is both fun and well prepared for every scenario. She is a Grade-A planner and always thinking about the needs of others. Between her nurturing nature and her background working with children and teenagers, I would trust no one more to help a child develop and grow.
I grew up in Northern California surrounded by a large and lively extended Greek family. Though technically an only child, I have always been very close with my cousins Nicole and Chris, and my childhood best friend, Jessica.
I was lucky enough to attend UCLA for college and UC Berkeley for law school. I’m now a lawyer who works with clients in the entertainment, food, and hospitality industries. I am fortunate to be able to work a lot from home and to choose my own hours.
In my spare time, I love reading, hiking with our dogs, and long meals with friends and family. Soccer has been a life-long passion of mine, and I have recently taken up archery too.
Whatever sports or hobbies our future child is into, I can’t wait to watch! I also really look forward to taking them to Pixar movies, zoos, and museums.
Alexis is the most kind, patient, and loving person I know. She is very supportive of others and open-minded. She is also funny, wickedly smart, and curious about the world. She loves to learn from reading books, watching documentaries, and listening to podcasts. She knows a lot about a lot of things.
Alexis will be an amazing parent who loves and supports our future child unconditionally. She will also help our child explore their world and learn about things like sports and history. I know she will help our child feel safe while also helping them discover who they are.

We live in a small neighborhood in Los Angeles called West Hollywood, which is vibrant and diverse. We live a few blocks from a wonderful elementary school and a park with a nice playground and library. We are so grateful to live in a welcoming, walkable community within a large city that has so much to offer in terms of culture, art, and cuisine.
We bought an old house together 5 years ago and have done many home projects together. We love to watch HGTV, and Natalie has learned how to fix a lot of things on YouTube. These experiences have brought us close together and created a lot of laughs.
Making a home together for our pets and future child is a dream come true.
We are big animal lovers in our home. Having volunteered with animal rescues for years, we ended up keeping a few along the way. We have four friendly rescue cats – Oscar, Olive, Amelia, and Charlie – and two goofy chihuahua mix dogs, Jerry and Reggie. Believe it or not, they all get along fabulously and love to cuddle with people and each other. Jerry and Reggie LOVE children and are very gentle with them. Little kids come up to them all over town to hug them. We are really excited for our child to grow up with pets and learn how to love and care for others.
We are both very lucky to have warm and supportive family nearby. Natalie’s parents and cousins live in Los Angeles, while Natalie’s brother, David, and Alexis’ parents, aunt, and close cousins live a few hours away in San Francisco. Our parents are retired and will be absolutely ecstatic about spending time with our future child. Some of our family traditions include seeing new movies together over Thanksgiving weekend, spending Christmas in the snow at our cabin, and meeting for family reunions in the summer.
We are fortunate to have a large and diverse friend group around us in Los Angeles. We love hosting casual dinner parties, going on short hikes, and trying new restaurants. Many of our friends have babies or young children of their own, including Alexis’ cousin, Nicole, and her best friend, Jessica. We look forward to making “playdate” a part of our vocabulary.
Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know us. We are honored to be considered as your child’s adoptive family. We would love to get to know you better and hear about your dreams for your child.
