It means so much to us to have the opportunity to introduce ourselves. Being able to share a little of our story with you is truly special. Our hearts are open and ready to welcome your child into a home filled with stability, love, affection, laughter, and genuine presence. We believe children should feel safe, joyful, and supported every single day.

From the very beginning of our relationship, we always talked openly about the future and the family we want to build, and adoption was always part of those conversations. Our original plan was to start with biological children and then adopt; however, life recently showed us that biological children are not a possibility for us.

Choosing to go with adoption first was a decision we made together. To us, family is built through commitment, care, and everyday presence, not biology. We have dreamed of this moment since the start of our journey together, and we feel truly ready and grateful for the opportunity to take this next step.

We met at a party hosted by a friend. At one point during the night, that friend pulled Pedro over to introduce us. Soon after, we exchanged numbers and a week after we had our first date. From that night on, we felt something special and we simply never stopped choosing each other. We started dating, rescued our cat, Mia, and within just one year together, we decided to get married. Since then, we’ve continued building a life rooted in respect, partnership, friendship, and love.

Nowadays, our life feels easy and balanced. Every Friday evening, we have our dates at home. Pedro loves playing instruments while we sing and dance together. We also love cooking. Pedro’s grandmother gave us a cherished family recipe book, and we often use it for our dates at home.

We truly value family time and love creating simple and meaningful memories along the way. We believe this foundation strengthens our marriage every day.

I truly love being surrounded by the people I care about. I value simple moments, genuine laughter, and keeping life light and joyful. I have always had a special connection with animals. I grew up spending time on my grandparents’ ranch and being around animals from a young age taught me care, responsibility, and compassion.

I am fun, romantic, and I try to live with a good sense of humor. I adore children and feel a very natural connection with them. My godson is incredibly special to us, and being part of his life brings me so much happiness.

I am a pediatric dentist, and working with children is truly part of who I am.

I love what I do and feel fulfilled helping little ones feel safe and confident. I am calm, patient, and attentive, and I look forward to experiencing motherhood with dedication and love, embracing each stage along the way.

Most people see Nathalia as funny, sweet, talkative, and easygoing. They notice her warmth right away and how naturally she connects with others. What they may not immediately see is her strength. Nathalia is resilient and determined. She will work tirelessly to protect and care for the people she loves. That quiet strength is one of the reasons I admire her so deeply.

She is the heart of our home. Nathalia creates our traditions and fills our space with intention and joy. She decorates for every holiday, plans thoughtful celebrations, and somehow turns ordinary moments into meaningful memories.

As a pediatric dentist, she delights in caring for little ones, often dressing up in costumes to make her patients feel safe and special. She also volunteered with a Brazilian nonprofit supporting children with cancer. Her patients adore her so much that when little Nicholas had a newborn puppy to gift, he insisted it go to his favorite grown-up: his dentist. And this is how Penélope came into our lives. For all of these reasons and so many more, I am incredibly excited to see Nathalia become a mother.

I come from a large Brazilian family influenced by my mother’s traditions. We speak loudly, talk with our hands, insist everyone sits at the table together, debate passionately, and tease each other endlessly. It is lively and imperfect, but deeply loyal. I learned early that love is not quiet — it is present, forgiving, and consistent.

My father is my role model. He taught me discipline, patience, honesty, and the responsibility of being someone others can rely on. Those values have guided every decision in my life, and I want my children to grow up with that same foundation. When I taught my younger sister how to ride a bike, I remember the pride of running beside her until she found her balance. Today, I still make time to teach my best friend’s son guitar over video calls. Becoming a father has been a calling I have felt since my mid-teens.

I am ready to care, protect, and build a home where my children feel secure, encouraged, and deeply loved.

Pedro is a dedicated, organized, and incredibly attentive person.He takes responsibility seriously, whether at work or at home, yet he also brings so much lightness and joy into our daily life. He has a playful spirit that turns simple moments into meaningful memories.

One of the things I admire most about him is that whatever he commits to, he does wholeheartedly and with genuine care. He takes pride in doing things well and always puts his heart into what he does, while still keeping things fun and easygoing.

Pedro is naturally wonderful with children. Kids are drawn to him. Our godson absolutely adores him because he is always present and ready to play, teach, and care. Even our friends’ children who live in Brazil ask him to set up Zoom calls to teach them how to play guitar.

I truly believe he will be a fulfilled and very loving father — the kind who teaches a child how to ride a bike, play an instrument, tells bedtime stories, and shows up for every stage of life.

We enjoy living an active lifestyle and spending as much time outdoors as possible. We love riding bikes, playing tennis, and going stand-up paddleboarding. We also enjoy having picnics outside and spending relaxing days at the beach, soaking in the sunshine and nature.

Simple moments bring us the most joy — playing with our pets, traveling and exploring new places, or spending quality time with our godson. We also truly value being surrounded by family and friends. Our home is often filled with laughter, and Pedro loves hosting barbecues for our friends, bringing everyone together and creating special memories.

Traveling is another of our favorite activities. We travel to Brazil a couple of times a year to be close to family and friends, and to enjoy some South American beaches as well. We also enjoy quick weekend trips to nearby cities, mountains, theme parks, and sometimes to Mexico. Nathalia loves planning our annual anniversary trip.

Pedro also has a special passion for go-kart racing. It’s a hobby he genuinely enjoys, and he has even won a few trophies along the way, which makes us very proud. To us, it represents dedication, enthusiasm, and loving what you do.

We look forward to including our child in these activities, encouraging their interests, celebrating their achievements, and building a life full of movement, laughter, and connection.

We live in a peaceful and welcoming community near the ocean, where nature is part of our everyday life. We truly enjoy being close to the beach and having access to parks, bike lanes, and open spaces that support a healthy and active lifestyle. Our building also has a pool where dozens of children play for as long as the summer sun is out, and then some more.

In our neighborhood, it’s common to see families walking, riding bikes, and enjoying the outdoors together in the afternoons. We also love the local farmers markets and community events throughout the year, where neighbors gather and connect.

We picture our children growing up surrounded by nature, outdoor activities, and a community that values well-being, education, and togetherness. For us, it’s a place that beautifully balances tranquility, cultural diversity, and opportunities to dream and grow.

Back in Brazil, our family owns a ranch, where our children will be able to learn how to care for animals, how to plant a tree, and how to harvest vegetables from their own crops.

Our pets are part of our family.
Penélope, our pup, was a special gift from one of Nathalia’s young patients, which makes her story even more meaningful to us. Mia, our kitten, joined our lives early in our relationship and has been by our side through thick and thin. Her health conditions have given us a couple of scares, but luckily, she still has many of her nine lives left.

They bring warmth, laughter, and comfort into our home. They deepened our sense of responsibility and tenderness. We wish to share this love with our children.

Family is a very important part of our lives. Nathalia’s family lives in Brazil — her parents and two siblings — and even with the distance, they remain very close to us. They visit us twice a year, and those times are always filled with laughter, celebration, and togetherness. As the oldest daughter, Nathalia grew up in a loving and lively family, a traditional Brazilian family with Italian roots that values good food, music, and gathering around the table.

Pedro’s family shares a very similar spirit. He has three siblings, and they maintain a close and affectionate relationship. They visit us often, and whenever possible, we travel to spend time with them. Like Nathalia’s family, they cherish unity, celebrations, and shared meals: a beautiful blend of Brazilian culture with Italian and Portuguese heritage.

Our friends are also a very meaningful part of our lives. We have true and lasting friendships here in California and in Brazil, including friends who have been with us since childhood. We stay closely connected, celebrating milestones, supporting one another, and sharing important moments in life. We know our children will grow up surrounded by love, culture, and a strong, supportive community.

Our Godson, Joaquim, holds a special place in our lives. Watching him grow has allowed us to experience the beauty of early childhood up close — his little unsteady steps, his spontaneous laughter, and the curiosity in his eyes. We’ve been blessed from his baptism to his birthday celebrations and we now get to be part of his first experiences at preschool — hearing about what he learned, looking at his colorful drawings, and celebrating each small milestone. He reminds us of how important it is to offer consistency, safety, and presence.

When we picture our children’s life, we imagine a simple life filled with meaning. We think about everyday routines, shared meals at the table, honest conversations, and being fully present at each stage of their life.

We hope to teach values like respect, empathy, responsibility, and gratitude. At the same time, we strongly believe that every child has their own unique personality and path. Our desire is to encourage dreams, support their choices, and give them the autonomy to grow into exactly who they want to be.

We plan to proudly share our culture and traditions, as well as teach our native language, Portuguese. We also want our children to feel free to explore other languages, other cultures, and discover the world with the same curiosity and confidence that we have.

Above all, we want to create a home where our child feels deeply loved, safe, and always supported.
