Hello and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to learn about our fun, chaotic, and loving family. We’re Quinn and Kevin along with our son, Ren, and new baby boy (Kit) due in December, from St. Louis, Missouri. We can only imagine the journey you have been on, and we want to express our deepest gratitude for the immense love and care you have for your child as you search for the perfect family for them. We’re excited to share the beautiful, wild, and love-filled family we’ve created, and we hope, with your help, to complete it.

Kevin and I have always wanted to adopt since long before we had biological children. We have always felt a calling to give a child a home where they have love, support, and resources to blossom. After having our own two boys (one due in December 2025) we just felt a strong calling that the last child to complete our family was out there waiting for us through adoption and would join us when time is right. We promise that your child will be welcomed into our home with open arms, given every opportunity to grow, and surrounded by love every step of the way.

We met in 2012 via an online dating website. Quinn says she knew that Kevin was the one immediately when on their second date, he met her mother and spent several hours helping her hang pictures in her new apartment and unpack her extensive shoe collection. Any man that would not be scared by the amount of shoes she owned, must be a keeper! We got married in 2017 in a blow-out New Year’s Eve bash complete with fireworks. The ceremony was outside overlooking the St. Louis Arch on what ended up as the coldest day of the year. Our family was buying blankets and hand warmers for the guest the morning of the wedding! Our marriage is full of laughter and love. Kevin is the king of puns and dad jokes that always has Quinn rolling her eyes. We enjoy nerdy hobbies together like board games, 3-D printing and making unique recipes.

I really want to be an inspiration to my children showing them that mom can achieve great things and still be there for soccer practice. I aim to role model all that strong women can achieve. I am incredibly lucky that my job is extremely flexible so I get to be at home with my family a lot and still pursue my goals! I am deeply passionate about learning and working with marginalized populations. As an occupational therapist, I help people do activities that they need to do or want during the day. I work specifically with those with mental illness, substance use concerns, or who are homeless. I also work as a professor at a University teaching future therapists to work with these populations. I recently finished my PhD in Education and started my own company to bring occupational therapy to new communities in need. Growing up, I was a competitive figure skater and even got to represent the USA in international competitions. Today, I enjoy staying active, slowing down with a good book, and spending time with loved ones.

Quinn is one of the most driven, poised people I’ve ever met, and it’s one of the things I love most about her. From doing her own TEDtalk to starting a company, no feat is too daunting and no obstacle insurmountable. She pursued a PhD because she knew she either wanted to run her own company, or manage an education program at a university, and did it in record time. And despite her wildly successful career, she’s just as successful as a wife and mother. She’s never caught off-guard, planning amazing family trips and activities and just generally acting as our family’s guiding light. We’d be lost without her. Our boys couldn’t ask for a better mom. She’s frequently practicing her Occupational Therapy and education skills, guiding them through every baby and toddler milestone. She’s the first one to notice when something is amiss, and her tenacity and compassion always win out.

I’ve always cherished my relationships with my family and friends, and I’m always willing to lend a hand wherever I can. Sometimes it’s helping someone move into a new house, maybe it’s dropping an eye-rolling pun, and at work it’s often bringing some insight to a difficult problem. I’m currently a software architect whose current job is to mentor and lead other software developers. I also have a job with a lot of flexibility so I am a very present dad. I love technology both at work and at home. I recently built my own 3D printer over the course of about 40 hours. Some of my favorite hobbies include 3D printing, playing board games, and reading. I’m also a DIY-er, tackling new projects (after a lot of googling and YouTube videos) like building built-in bookshelves for our house and crafting our dogs a custom dog house. These days one of my favorite pastimes is playing with Ren after dinner, which could be one of 10 different games that all seem to involve chasing him around the living room and end with tickles and giggles.

One of my favorite things about Kevin is that he is unflappable, he is such a steady and calm presence at all times. He is the logic and reason in our relationship to my big ideas. When I said I wanted to start my own company, Kevin didn’t bat an eye. Instead he spent his free time researching start-up funding, helping me design my website, and creating a policy manual. It is his unwavering dedication to our relationship and our family that I admire most about him. He is our “yes” man, always supporting my sons and I in everything we do. Including taking time off of work to proudly sit front-row at my TedTalk next to my mom. It is not just me that he supports, I know I am biased but Kevin is one of the best dads I have ever met. From the minute our son was born, he has been an equal partner and deeply involved as a parent. He never hesitates to get up in the middle of the night with a crying baby, change a poopy diaper, or jump into a game of hide-n-seek. Kevin is the dad that always shows up, without question.

We are an on-the-go family! We spend much of our free time exploring St. Louis. We find that spending time together in our community gives us a wonderful bonding experience that the whole family enjoys. We’re both avid readers and will often end our date nights browsing the local bookstore. We have been sure to instill this deep love of stories in our children filling their rooms with books. We spend time reading as a family every night. Kevin loves to work on a variety of projects including 3D printing items for his friends, woodworking, building Legos, or playing board/video games. He is so excited to have family board game nights as the kids get older and has a small collection of board games for young children that he has started teaching the boys. Quinn is more of an extrovert and loves spending time with friends and family. One of her friends has been teaching her to crochet, though it has been a slow going process! She enjoys cooking and baking but definitely prefers to have the help of others. Quinn also loves planning trips to new and favorite places!

Holidays are a big deal in our family. We love to celebrate and decorate for all of them. At Christmas, we try to hit as many Christmas light displays as possible and always make sure to take the boys to the light display where Kevin proposed to Quinn. For Halloween, Quinn loves designing group costumes for the family. Our neighborhood is big on trick-or-treating with lots of bonfires and tons of candy!

We live in a suburb of St. Louis, near where both Quinn and Kevin grew up. We actually live close to where Quinn grew up and where her parents still live so we get lots of family time and our kids spend tons of time with their grandparents. Our neighborhood is full of young families and we actually live a few houses away from both the elementary and high school. Our house has a big yard where our sons run with the dogs and a large driveway to ride bikes, kick balls, and play in the hose. Every evening we all take a family walk to share about our day and enjoy the outdoors. Our house is kid central these days where Quinn would describe the decor as “truck-chic”. Our boys have trucks on every floor. The basement even houses a large playroom including a dress-up station (complete with fireman and mechanic outfits) and a big chalk wall to draw on. St. Louis also has so many museums and attractions for kids, like the Magic House and Aquarium, so we spend a lot of time out in the community.

Ren is an active, talkative, 3-year old. He loves anything that moves including planes, trains, and construction vehicles so we spend lots of time watching for trucks on our street. Ren also loves music and sports. He can often be found singing his favorite song "Life is a Highway" from the Cars movie in the car or in bed at night. Ren also loves swimming and loves any activity that involves water. He is so excited to share his toys and dogs with another sibling. We are expecting another little boy in December 2025. We are so excited to add another wild thing to our pack. I have no doubts that this baby will be just as excited as Ren to have another sibling and love teaching his new sibling about all of his favorite things.

We have two dogs, Divvy and Zoey who are wonderfully patient with our son.

Without a doubt, Quinn’s mom and sister are some of our favorite people. Quinn's mom "GiGi" watches the boys full-time while we work. She was a special education teacher and is an amazing care-giver. She is constantly coming up with new games or challenges to teach the boys new skills and ensure they are having a childhood that they deserve. She is almost another parent to our boys, that is how constant her presence is in their lives. Gigi never hesitates to get on the floor and play trucks, to take the boys to an event, or to let them spend time at her 1-acre home. Gigi is Quinn's best friend and whenever possible Kevin likes to give them a chance to have some much-needed girl time. Quinn's sister lives in Texas but visits and video calls with the boys regularly. She does not want to have children of her own and works in a high-powered career in politics so time with the boys is sacred. On Quinn's side when she and her mom and sister get together, it is impressive to see the generations of strong, female role models that our children are learning from. Kevin's family is also not far away and we have the opportunity to see them at most holidays.

We also have a large village of friends from high school and college who have young children. We love to get together at someone's house and give the kids a chance to run while the adults relax and chat.

First and foremost, we promise to give your child unconditional love to welcome them into our family and care for them as we do our other children. We want them to know that while it is important for us to set boundaries for them to learn and grow that we will always be a safe place to land. We promise to encourage your child to think bigger and dream more, giving them every resource to achieve their biggest potential. We promise to teach them about equity and justice, two topics near and dear to our heart and our work. We strive to raise children that both understand and fight back against inequality. We promise to give your child a strong sense of wellbeing by attending not only to their physical health but by also prioritizing mental health. We promise to listen, openly communicate, and develop a sense of trust with your child so they know their family always has their back. We promise to let your child explore the world to find their place. We want to allow them to try, fail, and try something else until they find what suits them. We promise to give your child the life you dream of for them.

We truly believe that what is meant to be will find its way. As you read about our family, we hope you can feel the deep love and connection we share. We’re a family that thrives on fun, laughter, and adventure, and we want you to see the place your child would have in our hearts and our home.
