Hola! I’m Regina

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I live in the city of Whittier,
a warm and welcoming community just outside of Los Angeles and only a short drive from Disneyland!

I hope what you read here gives you a sense of the love, warmth, and stability I’m ready to share with a child. I look forward to creating a home filled with joy, discovery, and faith, and to opening the world to them one day at a time.

I’ve always dreamed of becoming a mother and sharing my love with a child.

While biology hasn’t made that possible, I’ve been fortunate to nurture and guide children in other meaningful ways. In college, I became a godmother, and the moment I held my godson, I knew I was meant to be a loving, guiding presence in his life. He’s in his 30s now, and that experience shaped so much of who I am. About eight years ago, I became an aunt — or “G,” as I’m affectionately called. Helping my sister co-parent my niece has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. These experiences have led me to this moment: I’m ready to welcome a child and share all the love I have to give.

Life is an adventure, and mine is always full! I’m fortunate to have a career that allows me plenty of time with my family and to travel. I love exploring new places and spending time with the people I care about. There’s always a family event, a trip, or someone stopping by to visit. Weekends are often spent cheering on my niece at swim meets or softball games during the school year, and I’m rarely alone — usually surrounded by cousins or siblings. Throughout the year, we travel to Northern California or Arizona to see family, and we visit Disneyland almost monthly. On top of that, there are the big family trips to Hawaii or Europe. I look forward to sharing all of this — the adventures, the travel, and the closeness of family — with my future child.

I love most things Disney! My collection started with a few characters from my grandmother, and over the years I’ve added to it.

In my front room, I have an art table where my nieces create their masterpieces, which go proudly on my door. Next to the table are books and games, giving kids their own space when they visit. I love reading — favorites include Little Women and the Harry Potter series — and my nieces always know to ask me for a book when they want one.

My nieces and I love playing tag, singing, building forts, and going on Disney scavenger hunts. We’ve even gone to Disney movies at El Capitan Theatre, complete with the organ and pre-show — it’s a real event! I also enjoy traveling and hope to visit Japan to see Disneyland in the next few years.

I love movies and quoting them endlessly. Favorites range from Auntie Mame and It’s a Wonderful Life to romantic comedies and Disney films like Encanto and Moana. Movies, books, games, and creative play are all ways I love sharing joy, imagination, and laughter with the kids in my life.

I’ve made my house a home, with an exterior inspired by Encanto and a style that blends Disney, my Mexican culture, and my faith. It’s a cozy two-bedroom home with a backyard, where I’ll soon be adding an ADU for Papa (my dad).

I host Thanksgiving and Christmas every year, and my home has become a place where everyone feels welcome and included.

My cat Chico is an important part of my family. He’s an adorable ball of fur who adds plenty of joy and energy to my home. He is sixteen and has taken on the role of protector in our home. He carefully “reviews” everyone who comes in, but he’s incredibly easygoing and is very patient with kids. Chico is a cuddler at heart and loves his treats and head scratches.

When I talk about my family, I mean everyone — from my immediate family all the way to my third cousins!

My sister and I spend most weekends together. My brother and his family visit at least once a month, and my niece often refers to her cousins as her sisters; we’re that close! At least once a month, we have brunch with my core cousins; we love gathering around food, laughter, and shared stories. Our road trips are full of games like “Guess That Animal” and “Name That Disney Song.”

We travel often to Northern California to visit my tíos or my brother, and visits almost always end with a small family gathering where my tía makes pozole. There are always plenty of arms to hold the kids and eyes to watch over them. Every few years, we go to Fiesta Week in San Antonio or visit Mexico for the October fiestas.

Your child will grow up surrounded by a large, loving family and an extensive support system, with family traditions, celebrations, and plenty of adventure along the way.

Family gatherings are always full of good food and great conversation. I love preparing our traditional family recipes for Thanksgiving, including my grandmother’s pumpkin pie from scratch and her sister’s stuffing recipe. I also make my great-aunt’s mole to enjoy with leftover turkey. For Christmas, we continue the tradition of going out for Chinese food on Christmas Day.

I practice my faith through the way I live my life. My faith guides me to choose love and trust that God will lead the way. I look to the Virgin for guidance and intercession, which is an important part of my Mexican culture. These are the traditions I want to share with my child — preparing food, spending time with family, and celebrating holy days together. While I may attend Mass occasionally, my faith is with me every single day.

I will teach your child honesty, hard work, and always doing their best. I want them to understand that it’s not what you have, but what you do for others that leaves lasting impressions.

My life will be full of change, and I imagine it will be lively, sometimes messy, and a little chaotic — the ultimate adventure!

And you know what? Being a parent will be the most rewarding part of my life. Always save the best for last, right?

I want to share my life experiences and values with my child. I believe children should always be seen and heard. I hope to inspire my child to share my sense of adventure while growing into their own unique person within a loving, supportive family.
