Sarah has known from a young age that she could not conceive. Early in our relationship, we chose to grow our family through adoption. It has been an incredible blessing, allowing us to become parents to our two beautiful boys. We are now excited and hopeful to welcome another child into our family, whoever he or she may be.

Our story began in 2007 when we met while working as servers at a local Italian restaurant. What started as an accidental date—Luke thought it was just dinner as friends, while Sarah saw it differently—turned into an instant connection, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. We got engaged in 2010 during a romantic gondola ride through Newport Harbor. Sarah spotted a bottle floating in the water with a letter inside that read, “Will you marry me?” Fourteen years later, we are more in love than the day we said “I do.”

I have a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in Education and Administration. I taught sixth grade at a title I magnet school for ten years before taking a step back from the classroom to stay home with my boys. I now teach part-time in a remote position, which allows me to continue doing what I love while also being present with my family each day. Friends would describe me as highly creative. Art is one of my greatest passions, with portraits being my favorite. I’ve drawn many members of my family and given the pieces as gifts. I also love to cook and entertain. Sharing food is my favorite way to show love, especially through baking. One of my favorite things to make is a four-berry pie.

Sarah is an extraordinary person with a joyful spirit and a loving heart that touches everyone she meets. She knew from an early age that she wanted to be a teacher and spent ten years inspiring her students before stepping away from the classroom to be a full-time, stay-at-home mom, dedicating herself to raising our boys. Her passion for children and her willingness to serve others never cease to amaze me. Sarah is also the strongest woman I know—she has faced personal and professional challenges with grace and resilience. She is a wonderful mother, and watching her teach, play with, and nurture our sons is one of the greatest joys of my life.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Marketing and have over a decade of experience as a Senior Operations leader in the retail, supply chain, and logistics industries. While I value my career, my greatest joy is time spent with my family. Whether I’m playing music on the piano and cello, building furniture in the garage, hiking and camping, or cooking in the kitchen, I love sharing my passions with my children. Cooking is one of our favorite family traditions, and our kitchen is the heart of our home—a place where we experiment with new recipes and recreate cherished family favorites. Some of my favorite moments are teaching my oldest son how to cook. Our special tradition is making scratch-made pasta with homemade noodles and parmesan.

I love Luke more today than I did the day I married him. He has a way of making everyone around him smile—he’s enthusiastic, fun, and always up for a new adventure. Luke is a hard worker and a devoted provider, embodying everything I ever hoped for in a husband and father. His kind heart is one of the main reasons I fell in love with him. He’s always the first to help a relative, friend, or coworker in need. Luke is an amazing father to our sons, Marshall and Mason. They do everything together—from cooking dinner and cleaning the garage to weekend outdoor adventures. Wherever “daddy” is, that’s where our boys want to be.

Marshall was adopted in 2018. He is the smartest, most loving 7 year old little boy. He loves school, art, Legos, and most of all music. When he grows up he either wants to be a police officer or fire fighter. Marshall adores being around other kids; whether it be at school, with his cousins, or with his little brother Mason. He is definitely a people person. Watching him around babies is the cutest thing! He loves giving them kisses and snuggles.

Mason was adopted in 2021. He is our little comedian. At only 4 years old, he already has that boyish charm down. He loves animals, Legos, puzzles, and cars. Mason enjoys being around other kids. One of his favorite things to do is go to his cousin’s house to play. He gets so excited anytime he sees a baby. He can’t wait to hold them and show them love. We look forward to seeing him as a BIG Brother!

We live in a charming Spanish-style home in a private, family-friendly community in Central California. Our neighborhood is full of life and love for kids, with special traditions like a Harvest Festival at Halloween, Easter egg hunts, and a Fourth of July parade. One of our favorite things about where we live is being just about two hours from the beach, mountains, and desert. Our home has four bedrooms and four bathrooms and is only a short walk from the community clubhouse and swimming pool. One of our favorite rooms is Luke’s music room, where he and the kids spend time listening to records, playing the piano, and singing karaoke together. We are grateful to live in a wonderful school district, with our local elementary school rated 9/10 for academic excellence and readiness. Our son Marshall is in first grade, and our son Mason is in Transitional Kindergarten.

Olive is our chihuahua/maltese mix. Olive has a very caring personality. She genuinely loves people and gets so excited when anyone comes to visit. She and our sons play great together. Their favorite things to do are play fetch and chase each other around the backyard.

Since Sarah was a child, a Christmas tradition is to make homemade candy and give out as gifts to friends and family. When Sarah and Luke got married 14 years ago, they took over the tradition. We make peppermint bark, peanut butter cups, chocolate covered marshmallows, and much, much more! Now that the boys are older, they love to help! Sarah’s birthday falls on or around the same weekend as Mother’s Day every year. Because of this, we always host a Mother’s Day brunch/Sarah’s birthday brunch on the Sunday of Mother’s Day. We invite all the family over to celebrate all the mothers in our lives. Then with everyone there, we have a birthday cake and small party for Sarah. It has become a tradition since our first son Marshall was born and Sarah became a mother and was able to celebrate Mother’s Day for herself.

We both come from loving families with strong Christian values. Both of our parents have been married for over 40 years. Luke has four sisters, Sarah has one brother. Together we have six nieces and four nephews. We are all very fortunate to live in the same town and see each other often.

Education is extremely important to us. With Sarah’s background as a teacher, we deeply value learning and want to provide our children with every opportunity to grow, explore, and succeed. Music is another passion that brings our family together. Whether it’s playing an instrument or singing in the choir, music is a central part of our lives. Luke often says, “Music is like the soundtrack of life—it can express emotions when words can’t.” We hope to share that love of music with your child and make it a meaningful part of their life.

We will raise your child with the values of honesty, compassion, friendship, loyalty, love, and respect. Our Christian faith is an important part of our lives, and we look forward to guiding our child to know and love the Lord. Education is very important to us, and we will provide every opportunity for your child to pursue a college education. We will nurture them to grow into a well-rounded, thoughtful, and caring individual. Above all, we promise to do everything in our power to be loving, supportive, and devoted parents.
