Hello, so nice to meet you! We are Meg, Scott, Evie and Eleanor from Nashville, Tennessee, with our puppy Truffles too! We are unbelievably excited you're checking out our profile and hope it gives you an understanding of who we are as a family and why we are here. Our profile is as real and raw as possible as we share how much this journey means to us. We appreciate you and know the courage it takes to make this decision. Our journey has not been easy either but it's been worth every minute. We hope to make a connection with you and want you to know the opportunity to be your child's adoptive parents will be one of the most sacred and beautiful experiences of our lives.
Dear Birth Mother...
Since we met we shared our dreams of having children together. Scott has always wanted a big family and Meg has dreamed of being a mom for as long as she can remember. While Scott has two children from his first marriage to his wife who sadly passed away from cancer, Meg has never had any children of her own. Adoption has always been something really close to Meg's heart as her nephew is adopted. Creating a family together has always been our plan and our greatest goal. While we have experienced infertility, building a family remains our top priority. We know that our path to building a family together is through adoption and we are so very excited. We cannot wait for our dreams to become reality!
Life is unpredictable and full of unexpected turns and our love story and path to becoming a family is no different. We met on a dating app three years ago in Nashville when Meg was visiting her sister. We instantly hit it off after realizing Meg grew up in the same town that Scott went to college in! Our first date was over lunch and our connection was instant. Although we had just met, we felt we had known each other forever. We talked for hours and Scott shared how he lost his first wife and Evie and Eleanor's mom after her long battle with cancer. Meeting Meg was the best surprise of Scott's life and she is the biggest blessing and most awesome "bonus mom" to his girls. The girls adore her and are so grateful to have her as a mom and role model. Meg never expected to find someone as amazing as Scott and he never dreamed of getting a second chance at love. As a family, we have a lot of fun together, never take anything for granted and live every day to the fullest! We are constantly making each other laugh and share a silly sense of humor that keeps us smiling. We love going on adventures, whether it’s a bike ride through the park, teaching the girls to surf or traveling across the world to experience new cultures.
Hello, I’m Meg, by Meg
I consider myself fun and adventurous. I love making people laugh, trying new things, traveling to far away places and meeting new people. My siblings are my best friends and I talk to my nieces and nephews on FaceTime every day—they call me "Mimi". I love spicy food and scary movies, Scott usually runs out of the room. I pride myself on being kind and always looking out for others. I find the beauty in people and in life. I've been fortunate to have an incredible career and I've accomplished so much in my life except for what I imagine being my greatest joy and that is being a mom. I cannot wait to welcome a child into our lives, they will be my pride and joy and surrounded by endless love!

She has been an incredible "bonus mom" to the girls and I cannot wait to see her with a child of her own, she will be the absolute best mom.

Hi, I’m Scott, by Scott
I consider myself a pretty laid back guy. I'm passionate about my family and staying active. I'm a Nashville native and have been in the area my whole life. I love mountain biking and skiing. I never knew travel could be so much fun until Meg came into my life and we started taking epic adventures around the world. We love visiting new places and trying new foods. I also love a night at home listening to music and making crazy pizza flavors with Meg and the girls. I work for a fast growing company and I love what I do but my proudest accomplishment and number one role is dad. I've had tremendous heartache from the death of my first wife but it has made me a more empathetic person which makes me a better dad. I'm so excited to raise a child with Meg, become a father again and grow our family. I consider myself lucky to have such a great life and have so much more love to give.
Meg Talks About Scott
Scott is my favorite person, the love of my life and the man of my dreams. He is just an incredible human—calm, loyal, strong, selfless, kind, hardworking and an incredible father that puts his family first. He is SUPER DAD and also a really FUN DAD! Watching him become a father again and building our family would be my dream come true.
Scott is the CEO of an insurance company based in Nashville. He works closely with his father and brother every day and they are excited to continue to build their company. Having a family business allows Scott to spend a lot of time with Meg and the girls, and be at home once the new baby arrives.
Scott’s Fun Facts
- Went to college in the same town Meg grew up in (imagine how many times we crossed paths and didn't even know it?!)
- Holds the Tennessee State record for Shot Put (he stole the previous record from... his dad!)
- Is passionate about keeping our grass GREEN!
- Loves Pistachio ice cream
- His family was one of the founding families of Nashville—deep history, how cool!
- His favorite things to do with Evie and Eleanor are taking them skiing and mountain biking!
As a family, there is no where we would rather be than in nature! Some of our favorite things to do are watch our dog, Truffles, dig holes on the beach, lay in the grass and gaze at the stars and talk about what it would be like to visit another planet! We have built our life around giving our children life experiences. We love traveling to new places so the kids can learn about other cultures, try new foods and appreciate other traditions. We have some amazing hiking and mountain biking trails in Tennessee and we visit them often. We take an epic ski trip once a year— the girls love snow! We lead a very active and healthy lifestyle. We cannot wait to share all our love for the outdoors with our child and take them on exciting adventures!
We love our home in Nashville, Tennessee! Meg has recently redecorated and it's so cool. As much as we love to travel, home is where our heart is. Every time our niece comes over she asks if she can move in because our house is "so happy, so colorful and smells so good!". We have a fenced in yard with plenty of space for kids to play. We are walking distance to playgrounds, parks, a nursery school, elementary and high school. Several other young families with children live in our neighborhood—one of our friends lives next door with their adoptive daughter. We are also ten minutes from Downtown Nashville, which is famous for its music, restaurants, and concerts. Our home is filled with love and laughter. We adore our city, our home and community!
Introducing Evie & Eleanor
Evie is 15 and about to get her driver's license. She loves baking cakes, knitting, and shopping. Her favorite TV shows are Grey’s Anatomy and Ginny & Georgia. She never gets sick of Mexican food. She is the best big sister and when we told her we were going to adopt she screamed "Yay, I'm so excited, I'm going to start knitting a hat for them!!"
Eleanor is 14 and starting her first year in high school. She loves sports—especially soccer and running. She is a loyal friend to everyone. She loves to bake with her sister and music makes her happy. She would eat pepperoni pizza every day if she could. She is most excited about introducing her new sibling to their 15 cousins!
Evie and Eleanor's friends say they have the coolest house and the nicest parents who always have the best snacks!
Family & Friends
Family is and has always been the most important thing in our lives. We are fortunate to have been raised by parents who instilled in us the same core values of respect, kindness, honesty and empathy. Between our two families, we have 12 nephews and 3 nieces that will not only be family but best friends for our child. We are both so close to our families, Scott’s family lives 5 minutes down the street while Meg’s sisters are only a few hours away. Both sets of grandparents are amazing and present in each of their grandkid's lives. Scott’s mom loves taking the kids shopping while his dad loves telling stories and teaching the kids all about history. Meg’s mom enjoys taking the kids to the beach and to get huge bowls of ice cream. In addition to family, we have a huge network of friends that are like family to us. Several of them have children through adoption. We think it’s important for any child that has been adopted to have friends and family they can relate to as they get older.
Truffles is our one-year-old 10 pound Shih Tzu puppy that brings so much joy not only to us but to all that meet him! He is so cute and fluffy! He follows the girls all over the house, eats lots of treats, plays fetch, lays on the sofa, loves running around outside and long walks in the park. He does not like being brushed or taking a bath. Above all, Truffles loves his family especially the girls. He adores kids and is a loyal companion.
- Christmas Eve at Scott's parents’ house
- Family cookie decorating contest
- Christmas movie marathon the entire month of December
- Evie and Eleanor make homemade ornaments for all their cousins
- We eat popcorn and drink hot chocolate as we drive around our neighborhood looking at holiday lights and singing our favorite Christmas songs
We want to raise children that are kind, happy, confident and empathetic through providing a stable, loving and supportive home with all the opportunities for our children to be themselves and explore their interests and passions. We will always be open and honest with our children, letting them know they can count on us for anything and that we will always love them unconditionally. We will begin every day and end every night by telling them how grateful we are for them and much we love them!
Values We Will Teach Your Child

- ... and that life is short, enjoy the journey
