While we were both born and raised in Texas, we have a deep love for travel, embarking on new experiences and making memories as a family. We have a 4-year old son, James, who has been ready to be a big brother for years now! We'd love to share more about ourselves and would be honored to welcome your child into our loving family.

We met at Texas A&M while working at Raising Cane's. In 2016, Jay proposed, and we were married in 2017. Our first years of marriage were filled with adventure, travel, and building our careers. "As we all know, in 2020 COVID hit which slowed down our lives, but it made it the perfect time to welcome our son, James, into our lives. Then started the best adventure of all—parenthood!

We've always valued making memories over material things, and having a child made our experiences even more meaningful. Our family loves spending time in nature, traveling, and exploring new places together. We've always been each other's best friend, and now, we're excited to add another little best friend to our family through adoption!

We absolutely love being parents and have always wanted a big family.

We both grew up with very close knit families so we knew we wanted the same. After trying for a second child for years without success, we knew that fertility treatments were not the right path for us. When we started researching adoption a couple years back, we were told the process can be lengthy and trying for everyone involved. However, we have never felt more at peace making such a big decision. We truly believe that adoption is part of God's plan for us, and we are incredibly excited about the next steps. We can't wait to welcome another child into our hearts and home.

I grew up in College Station, Texas with my two younger sisters, mom and dad. I love anything outdoor related, although I must admit I was never much of an outdoor person until I met Jay. He opened my eyes to the beauty of nature!

I'm the Office Manager at our family’s HVAC business and love working alongside relatives. We're busiest during summer, but I’m thankful for the flexibility to work from home. My mom and nieces help with childcare in the summer, and my son attends preschool during the year. Family always comes first—I’ll be taking maternity leave and soaking up time with our newest addition.
Over the last few years I've picked up new hobbies like running and beach volleyball. I enjoy trying new things, traveling to new places and meeting new people. I love to socialize with family and friends, but other times I just need a quiet weekend at home with Jay and James.

I have to admit I struggle to talk about myself, because I love to take care of others and make them feel appreciated and loved. I do not like the spotlight, unless you catch me at karaoke! What I value most are the relationships I have with my friends, family, employees, faith and community.

Therese is my best friend, and she's made me a better man.

She's thoughtful, kind, and incredibly focused. Once she sets her mind to something, she'll accomplish it no matter what. She's great at keeping me on track and is always willing to help with anything, without complaint. Therese has an amazing ability to connect with people. She's friendly, genuine, and doesn't seek attention, but when the situation requires it, she steps up as a natural leader. She's more responsible than I am, which is why my family was so impressed by her that they hired her away from her previous job managing 80 people to work with us. She's now a respected leader and voice at our company. Above all, Therese is a kind, patient, and loving mother to our son. No matter what challenges or stress the day brings, she always has love to give—and I'm so excited to see her become a mother of two and share that same deep love with your child.

I’m a laid-back guy who enjoys quiet weekends at home just as much as outdoor adventures. My family and I started a spray foam and HVAC business 10 years ago, and through a lot of hard work, it’s become something we’re really proud of. I feel truly blessed to not only work with my family every day but to also work so well together. Outside of work, I enjoy playing golf, hanging out with friends, and spending time with our son and three dogs.

Once I’m comfortable, my goofy side comes out—people say I’m hilarious, and I love to joke around. I’m the youngest of four, with 10 nieces and nephews, and family is a huge priority for me. I love cooking and am a big fan of the Houston Texans and Astros. We always make time to watch the games together as a family and try to attend a few each season.

Jay is truly my favorite person on earth. He's incredibly selfless, loyal, and always put his family first.

I remember back in college, I told him I loved to cook and clean (trying to impress him), but when he found out I may have been exaggerating, he wasn't let down. Instead, he decided he'd take on the role of family chef (probably for the best!) and always helps with cleaning duties. Jay has an amazing ability to read people and knows when someone needs help. If he sees that I'm overwhelmed, he'll step in without me even having to ask—whether it's handling the cleaning, taking over bedtime with our son, or doing laundry. He would do anything to make sure we're happy and taken care of. He also has an immense love for his family—both mine and his own—and shows it unconditionally. The amount of times he's done handiwork for my mom, dad and grandma really show his selflessness.. and patience! I'm especially excited to see him step into the role of parenting a newborn again—I know he'll be just as supportive, loving, and hands-on as ever, and our growing family is so lucky to have him.

James is 4 years old and has a big heart full of love! But most of all he loves Spider-Man and tacos—if he could eat tortillas every day, he'd be happy forever! He may only be 4 but sometimes we swear he's at a tiny adult. He says the funniest things, but is also incredibly sweet and caring. He can't wait to have a sibling and often asks when the baby will be here. One of our favorite things about James is when he randomly tells us he loves us.

We live in northwest Houston, just beyond the city.

We love living in the suburbs with easy access to Houston’s attractions. Our 1970s home has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms—plenty of space for the kids to play—and we fully remodeled it into a place we truly love. It’s in a safe, established neighborhood with big trees, wonderful neighbors, and lots of family-friendly events like 4th of July parades and Easter egg hunts. One of our favorite things is being within walking distance of three parks and miles of trails. The community center also has tennis, volleyball, handball courts, and a pool we enjoy in the summer. We feel so lucky to live here and have no plans to leave!

We have three dogs, Copper, Pepper and Scout. Therese's big heart convinced Jay we had to rescue our 2nd then 3rd dog. They are so good and gentle with our son. They keep life fun and it's been great watching James grow up with them.

Nearly all our family is local and within an hour max of our house. Jay's side of the family is in NW Houston near us. We have 10 nieces and nephews between Jay's two brothers and sister, including James that makes 11 grandkids! We cannot wait to add the 12th little man or woman to our crew! Jay's parents are absolutely amazing, fun and loving. They have a lot on their plates at times but are always ready to help any of their grandchildren.

Therese's parents live in College Station which is a short hour drive from our house. James is their only grandchild and they are beyond excited for grandbaby #2. Therese's sisters are explorers and did not stay in Texas long after college. Her youngest sister and brother-in-law live in Minnesota and her middle sister is a religious nun that lives in New York. Although we are not close in distance, we talk often and frequently make trips to see each other!

We have the most supportive family both immediate and extended. Both of us are close with all 30+ of our cousins and their kids. There is no shortage of family, love and support! Everyone is thrilled for as we start this adoption journey.

There are several qualities that we wish to pass to our children.

We deeply value our faith in God and believe it’s important to attend church regularly and build that spiritual foundation in our children. It helps guide them in making wise choices and understanding right from wrong. We also hope to pass on our love for the outdoors—whether it's the mountains, the beach, or just the park across the street. We want our kids to appreciate nature, value hard work, and take pride in everything they do. Most importantly, we want them to grow up with patience, kindness, and respect for others. We believe everyone deserves to be treated well, and that even the smallest kind gesture can make a big difference—sometimes all someone needs is a little grace. Manners and kindness are a big deal in our home. We cherish quality time as a family, especially around the dinner table where we put our phones away and truly connect. Whether we’re visiting relatives or just running errands, we encourage our son to be involved and learn through everyday moments.
