Hello and Thank you!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about us and for considering us to be the adoptive parents for your child!
We are so excited to become parents and at the same time we can only imagine the amount of courage and love you have for your baby to make this important decision. We pledge to you that we will provide your child unconditional love, support, a good education and strong values throughout their life.
We all have our own journeys to lead, and we will be forever grateful should your journey cross paths to ours.
The story of us…
We met in 2011 through some friends! Linda lived in Napa Valley at the time and was planning a trip to the Monterey coast to visit her friend who just happened to be dating Tom’s roommate. Tom was planning to go for a motorcycle ride that weekend, but Linda’s friend convinced Tom to stay in town to meet Linda by showing him a photo of her walking a tiger at a Thailand Tiger Temple (yes, true story). Tom, always being the adventurous type himself, thought, “I have to meet this girl” and as fate would have it, decided to stay in town to meet the woman who would become his future wife.
We started dating soon after that meeting and after almost 2 years of long distance dating and visits every other weekend, Linda moved to Monterey County to be closer to Tom. Within 6 months after that move, we were engaged and married less than a year later in 2014, we have been married almost 4 years. We can’t wait to move forward with building our family, a new life and new stories!
What we love…
Family and friends. Travel and new experiences. Both of us have traveled extensively throughout the world and domestically, we have both been to various countries in Europe and Asia, as well as Canada and Mexico. Our first international trip together was to Ireland and we celebrated our honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico. We enjoy exploring the great outdoors, maybe someday we will get an RV but for now is tents or cabins when camping!
We are foodies and love to try new cuisines, we like all varieties of food such as Sushi, Thai and Mexican. And of course, any type of seafood since we do live near the ocean! Linda likes organic, sustainable cuisine most but her guilty pleasure is chocolate, and we both love pizza!
We like taking our dog Odin on walks and car rides, he loves it! We have two lovable rescue pets, a dog and a cat. We are big movie buffs. Although we do tend to have different tastes in movies, we often agree on the classics such as Disney flicks and most comedy and dramas.
We have struggled with infertility for quite some time, we have always considered adoption and are excited at the prospect of finally becoming a mom and dad.
Odin is a Belgian Malinois & German Shepherd mix, he is a lovable, happy dog who enjoys longs walks, belly rubs and a good scratch behind the ears. He is gentle with little ones and sometimes ‘herds’ our friend’s kids to keep them out of trouble. His particular breed is known to be a great family dog!
Nala is a very sweet and loving kitty with big blue eyes and soft gray fur. Her favorite pastimes are sleeping, eating and snuggling on Linda’s lap. She is more than willing to help tidy up should a morsel of food find its way from the table to the floor, or conveniently out of Odin’s bowl. She is a bit shy around new people but once she gets to know you she is very friendly.

I was born and raised in Napa, California with one older brother. He is married with a 5-year-old daughter. My parents have been married for over 40 years and live in the same house where I grew up, so the home has many special memories for me. Our home was also close to my grandmother’s house, she always had cookies and strawberries after school for us, and lived to be 92 years old! My parents have a lot of land so I remember days of playing outside, exploring, riding my bike, swimming and pool parties with friends. Growing up, we had a German Shepherd named Bullet and a donkey (yes, a donkey) named Jezabelle, when I was very young we also had a couple ponies (my grandfather used to have a few ponies, plus a red barn which is still there).
When I was young, I was always active with community service, I was a Brownie, a Girl Scout and was active in the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls as well as theater. I was very active in high school activities and attended college in Pennsylvania. While in college I studied a semester abroad in Vienna, Austria and backpacked around Europe for a few months, I have always had a curious spirit and old soul, but that was when I officially caught the travel bug!
After college I moved to Orlando, Florida and worked for Disney for a few years gaining experience in many hospitality job functions (marketing, food & beverage), but mostly as an Entertainment Coordinator. This was my introduction into the Hospitality industry!
Fun Fact: during my time at Disney I also worked with the character actors and was even asked to play ‘Wendy’ (from the original Peter Pan movie) a few times, it was a fun time in my life!
I attended graduate school in Florida and eventually moved back to California and continued to work in the hospitality industry for several years. I work as a sales manager for a hotel collection in Monterey, I enjoy my job as it offers something different every day, I help create meetings and events and get to meet new and interesting people all the time. I can work from home, but plan to be a stay-at-home mom when my children are small.
Linda though Tom’s eyes
The Yin to my Yang. When she puts her mind to something she can be quite determined. Linda likes plans and sticking to them (she’ll be planning the play dates, family vacations, kid’s activities and appointments and will probably be part of the PTA). She likes the chick flicks while I like the action movies and comedies. There is no one else I would rather hang out with be it a lazy Sunday in our backyard, or exploring castles in Ireland. She has helped me grow as a human being and as a man. And as a plus she’s pretty cute and I think my silliness is rubbing off on her!
Linda is a ‘momma bear’ just waiting for a cub, she is all about family (she has a great relationship with her mother and mother-in-law), and will be an amazing mother herself.
I grew up in Prunedale, California the oldest of three brothers. I have a large family and I spent and continue to spend a lot of time with my cousins. My brothers and I spent a lot of time playing outside, climbing oak trees, building underground fortifications and inside watching sci fi movies. We also spent a lot of time playing on the beaches of Monterey while my dad was scuba diving which he got me into at age 13 and I’ve been diving ever since. I grew up playing soccer and was in the Cub scouts, Webelos, and Boy scouts. My parents also had us working a lot building retaining walls, decks, fencing, digging through hard clay and not to mention miscellaneous yard work. I can be very handy around the house and I look forward to passing along my skills. In high school I played football, wrestled and was first chair trombone. After going to Cabrillo Junior College in Aptos I attended UC Santa Barbara and got my major in Political Science and minored in history. My college roommates and I still get together at least once a year to catch up. For the past 12 years I been working in the sales department for one of the larger vegetable grower/ shippers in Salinas Valley.
My hobbies include: riding my motorcycle, snowboarding, scuba diving, free diving for abalone, drawing, painting and reading science fiction, comic books and history. I’ve also been known to brew my own beer and cure my own bacon. And, I’m a decent cook (if I don’t say so myself).
Tom through Linda’s eyes
Tom will be the most wonderful father! He is authentic, true and reliable, he is a learner, a teacher, has a responsible work ethic, and will instill those values onto our children. He is my best friend, my rock, and my comedy relief. I am so lucky to be married to him! I can see him goofing around with the kids but also being the Dad when it comes to being focused and serious.
Tom is great with the BBQ and is a good cook, his specialty is Sunday breakfast (pancakes, eggs benedict or handcrafted bacon), we both like to try new recipes and eat various foods!
Tom has a way with kids. My niece absolutely adores him, he is her ‘Tommy’. Our friend’s kids love him as well, he’s goofy with them but patient at the same time. I enjoy watching him with kids, he talks with them, not down to them. He can’t wait to be a dad!
Tom keeps me young, but I look forward to growing old with him and sharing in life’s events like the kid’s activities, family dinners, holidays, graduations, weddings and just being together and creating the story of our life.
