Hi! We are Andromeda and Joshua from Los Angeles. We are so happy to introduce ourselves to you! We can only imagine the strength it takes to make the decision you are facing, and we’re honored to be considered as parents for your child. We have so much to give and are ready to get started. We promise to shower the child we adopt with love and support and do everything we can to help him or her have a life full of amazing experiences.

We have spent the last 20 years together focusing our lives on creating a loving and welcoming home for all who walk through our front door. We love being lifelong partners and learners — interested in sharing new discoveries, and making the most of our time with friends and family. When we first met, talking into the night, we realized that it is our dream to raise a child together. It would mean so much to us for you to be the one to help make this dream come true.

Even though we both lived in Seattle for ten years working as actors and had many friends in common, somehow we never met. In fact, it wasn’t until Andromeda moved to Los Angeles to pursue her career that we found each other.

After moving, Andromeda traveled back to Seattle to finish packing up her belongings and take the stage for one final Seattle performance. This is when we finally met. On our very first date, we confided in each other about our lifelong desire to have kids and spend our lives together. After a few months of dating long-distance, we realized we wanted to spend every day together and got engaged and married within a year. We have been living together happily married for 19 years in Los Angeles. Having a child to share everything with continues to be our deepest hope and desire together.

Andromeda is the most loving, caring, generous person I know. When she was very young, her mother asked her, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Andromeda answered, “I want to be happy!” She has certainly achieved this goal! Andromeda followed her childhood promise to herself, and I am so proud to see how happy she is every day acting and performing from our home recording studio.

Any child would be very lucky be able to call her “Mom.” Andromeda is a patient and caring teacher, and she often spends time with friends and their children sharing things she has taught herself. Her generosity knows no bounds, as she will do anything to help a friend in need. Because Andromeda is so loving, patient, and kind, her godchildren and our younger family friends constantly request Andromeda as a babysitter. I feel like the luckiest man on earth to call Andromeda my wife.

Joshua is kind, funny, smart, and the most loving friend and husband a person could ever wish for. His eyes light up when he is around the people he loves, and you can really see how deeply he cares about everyone in everything he does — the food he cooks, the photographs he takes, his building projects, and especially his silly jokes told in funny voices. He is passionate about treating everyone with kindness and respect, and loves helping others.

I know for a fact that Joshua will be an amazing dad! He became a meditation teacher to help create a more peaceful home for both of us and to contribute to creating a more peaceful planet. But just because he meditates, don’t think that means he is always sitting quietly. He is goofy and silly, and always playful. Every kid I know is drawn to him, because he’s the most fun out of all the adults in any room. He creates special adventures for our nephews every time they visit, and even dresses up like them when they go out on the town.

Joshua follows his heart and will always be there for his child. Joshua does it all. Not only does he continue to pursue his love of acting, photography, and film, but he is a great support to Andromeda and takes on new projects at home. He is proud of the work he has done as an actor, and has appeared on stage in Seattle and Los Angeles, as well as on television and in film. His photos have been published and hang in private collections the world over. He has been teaching meditation for several years. Since he works from home and for himself, he can’t wait to have a child to share his day with.

Andromeda and Joshua feel very lucky to have parents who are both celebrating over fifty years of marriage. Both sets of parents met while they were in college, and have been wonderful examples of parents who have pursued their professional and personal passions while creating and maintaining loving households to raise their children. Andromeda and Joshua look forward to sharing their families’ love.
