Hello! We are Jillian and Jeremy from San Francisco, California. We are an adventurous and playful couple who love building a life full of meaningful experiences. We enjoy traveling, exploring new places, and learning together, but we also value quiet evenings at home and time with family and friends. Our life in San Francisco gives us the chance to enjoy both city energy and peaceful neighborhood moments. As we begin this adoption journey, we are excited to grow our family and create a home filled with love, stability, laughter, and a sense of belonging. We are excited about the opportunity to welcome a child into our family through adoption. Building our family in this way feels meaningful to both of us, as we are privileged to offer a home filled with encouragement, support and stability. This is something we don’t take for granted. While we look forward to sharing life’s big moments as parents, it’s the small ones we look forward to the most - the endless curiosity, the shoulder to cry on late at night and the everyday traditions that we will create together.

We met online by chance in 2019, shortly after we had both moved to San Francisco, and quickly discovered how much we had in common. One of our first conversations started when Jillian noticed a photo from Antarctica on Jeremy’s dating profile, which helped us bond over a shared love of adventure, wildlife, and new experiences. That connection eventually brought us there together in 2022, where we got engaged. We were married in 2023 and have built a life filled with laughter, teamwork, shared goals, a love of family, traveling the world, and spending time with our two adorable cats.

In our free time, we enjoy staying active, exploring different neighborhoods around the city, and finding new places to eat and spend time together. We love discovering small local spots, going for long walks, and making the most of everything our city has to offer.

At home, we enjoy cooking meals together, trying new recipes, listening to music, watching movies, and hosting friends for relaxed nights in. We love Thai food and dumplings, listening to jazz and funk music, and watching thriller or comedy movies. We also enjoy creative projects, like taking a painting class or working on small home projects together. Decorating our house for the holidays is another favorite, especially Valentine’s Day, which we always have fun celebrating.

While we enjoy getting away when we can, we value everyday moments just as much. We are excited to share these simple joys with our child, from weekend walks to the park to baking cookies.

I grew up in the Arizona desert after my parents moved from Canada before I was born. Maybe it was the heat, or my dad being a dermatologist, but I’ve always preferred chilly, cloudy weather - one of my favorite things about San Francisco.

Following in my dad’s footsteps, I decided at the end of high school to become a doctor. Twelve years later, I became an emergency medicine physician. I love the controlled chaos of the ER, quick decision-making, and helping people in crisis. The shift schedule lets me fully disconnect when I’m off.

Outside of work, I enjoy movies, traveling, trying different foods, and being in nature, especially near water or mountains. I stay active with skiing, running, and workouts, which helps balance my big sweet tooth. I also love animals and would adopt a million cats if I could. We’re really lucky to have Misty and Arya, who are the most loving and playful pets I’ve ever had.

One of my favorite things about Jillian is her energy and enthusiasm for life. She brings excitement into everything she does, whether it’s planning our next trip, discovering new music, or jumping into a new experience together. I am constantly in awe of her, especially knowing that her work involves caring for people in their hardest moments and sometimes even saving lives. She is thoughtful, organized, and incredibly dependable, which makes our life together feel both fun and steady.

Jillian is also very close with her family and was raised in a loving, supportive home, and I truly believe that those experiences will shape her into an incredible mother. I know she will show up with patience, consistency, and so much love every single day.

Originally from Maryland, I’ve lived in California since 2010, where I work as a Software Engineering Manager at Apple. I really enjoy building new things and working closely with people, and I love that I get to do that every day in my work.

I love learning new things and creating meaningful experiences at home, like cooking and photography. I often try recipes inspired by places we have traveled together. My favorite has to be Mediterranean. And photography has become one of my biggest passions, especially capturing landscapes and animals. I have taken photos on almost every continent!

Becoming a parent feels like the next meaningful chapter in my life. I feel lucky that Jillian and I have built a life and home together where we feel ready to raise children, and I cannot wait to share experiences, traditions, and everyday moments with them.

Jeremy is the most thoughtful man I’ve ever met. We instantly connected on our first date talking about our favorite places to travel. We grew up on opposite sides of the country, yet our childhoods have so much in common. At our wedding, his mom made a slideshow comparing our childhood photos, which were eerily similar.

Those shared roots are part of what makes us so compatible. Although neither of us is particularly religious, we both feel culturally rooted in our Judaism. This shows up in our loyalty to family, commitment to education, strong work ethic, and desire to do right by others.

I love how much we have in common, and I also value the ways we’re different. Jeremy thinks deeply, speaks beautifully, and has a sharp sense of humor. He’s self-sufficient and loves solving puzzles. I feel so lucky to have him as my husband and future parenting partner.

We live in a single-family home in a quiet, safe neighborhood in San Francisco that we truly love. One of our favorite things about living here is being close to incredible views of the city, the ocean, and the surrounding landscape. Whether it’s hiking up a mountain or going to a nearby park, the views of our city and coastline are something we never get sick of. Our area is walkable and close to parks, playgrounds, shops, and restaurants, which makes it easy to envision life with a little one. There are strong schools nearby and many family-friendly spaces to enjoy. And when we aren’t out and about, there’s nothing better than the cozy comforts of spending time at home.

Both of our families are incredibly supportive and excited about us starting a family through adoption. We are each close with our older sisters, and Jeremy’s sister Lindsay has three young children, which has been such a fun and meaningful way for us to experience being aunt and uncle. Harrison is 7, Maddie is 5, and Cameron is 3 years old. We visit them in Maryland or Pittsburgh but also go on trips together to various places like Alaska and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Maddie is a girly girl who loves to do her makeup and color, while Harrison and Cameron love playing with toy trucks and soldiers!

Even though much of our family lives farther away, we stay closely connected and make time for regular visits, holidays, and shared trips each year. Being together during special moments and celebrations is important to us, and we love creating memories as a family. Family traditions, time together, and staying connected across distance all matter deeply to us. We look forward to welcoming a child into a family that is loving, supportive, and excited to share life together.

We love celebrating traditions and creating special moments throughout the year. Our favorite holiday is Valentine’s Day, when we decorate the house and exchange cards and candy. We also can’t wait to start small traditions of our own, whether it’s annual trips, birthday donuts in bed, or simple family traditions at home. We are so excited to build meaningful traditions that our child can grow up loving.

We hope to raise a child who is kind, curious, creative, and confident in who they are. We believe in treating others with respect, working hard toward goals, and staying open to learning new things. We want our child to feel supported as they discover their passions, and to know that effort and curiosity matter just as much as achievement. We want to create a home where our child feels safe asking questions, expressing feelings, and being fully themselves.

We find ourselves imagining what everyday life will look like as parents. We picture our child in a high chair at the dinner table, on a neighborhood walk holding hands, hanging homemade decorations for holidays, and reading a bedtime story at the end of the day. We want to be the kind of parents who show up consistently, who listen, and who make home feel steady and safe.

We hope to raise a child who feels comfortable being exactly who they are and build the kind of trust where they know they can come to us about anything. We would love to have an open adoption and to build a relationship that feels natural, respectful, and supportive for everyone involved. Most of all, we want our child to grow up knowing they are deeply loved and chosen, by all of us.
