We are so grateful to share a bit of our story with you, and we hope to get to know you too. We pray you feel comfort throughout every step of this process, and peace in the more difficult moments. We deeply admire the strength, love, and courage it takes to make this decision for your child. We are excited to welcome another child into our home, and we can’t wait to show them love, patience, joy, and affection. We are hopeful for the future and grateful for the chance to be a part of your child’s story.

We've both always dreamed of having a big family. Throughout our marriage, we’ve experienced infertility and pregnancy loss, both before and after welcoming our miracle baby in 2023. After many conversations with trusted mentors and friends who have adopted, along with a lot of prayer, we’ve come to feel that adoption is how we are meant to continue growing our family. We feel hopeful as we learn from adoptees’ stories and believe we have meaningful strengths to love and raise a child through adoption. We are excited and ready to welcome another child into our loving home. We recognize that adoption can be complex, and we are committed to approaching it with openness, love, and compassion.

We met in 2016 playing pickup basketball. A mutual friend introduced us because we were both in the school band growing up...but it’s much cooler to just say we met playing basketball! We had a lot in common: faith, music, family dynamics, and even our names! We hit it off and started dating almost immediately. After 10 months of dating, Nick started graduate school in a different state, and we decided to continue dating long distance. Between FaceTime calls and weekend visits, we made the most of our time apart and got serious about our future. We got married in 2019 and we’ve spent the last seven years traveling around the world, growing our community, and playing a lot of music. Through it all we’ve learned that we are better together, and that sacrifice is the foundation of a strong family.

Born and raised in Northern Virginia, I had many wonderful opportunities growing up. I swam competitively, played the trumpet, studied hard, and—best of all—did everything alongside my twin brother. I loved making people laugh and was often the class clown, but I also took school seriously. I've always loved being around kids and spent my summers babysitting, coaching swim, and volunteering at youth camps. After college, I moved back to the area, met Nick, and dove headfirst into my work as a consultant. While I care about my career, my favorite job is being a mom. Caring for Wesley is such a gift, and I am excited for another child to join our family.
Today I find the most joy in caring for loved ones, making nourishing meals, writing music, and spending time in nature. I love giving thoughtful gifts and making others feel celebrated, and I’m known for throwing a great themed party.

Nicole loves deeply, in more ways than I can count. She is creative and resourceful, with a genuine gift for thoughtfulness toward others. She is a loyal spouse and friend, and her faith shapes the way she cares for the people in her life. She never forgets a birthday, extends warm hospitality to everyone (strangers and close friends alike) and is quick to notice the needs of others and respond with care. Of her many qualities, I especially admire her unique sense of vision. Nicole sees things others might miss and can imagine the steps needed to bring something meaningful to life. Whether it's creating a delicious meal from simple ingredients, starting a home project, writing a song, dreaming up a small business idea, or planning something special for our son, she brings creativity and intention to it all. Her thoughtfulness, creativity, and humor make her an amazing mom, and I'm so grateful to parent alongside her.

Born into a military family, I learned early how to adapt and build relationships through many moves. My earliest loves were music and sports, and they have a special place in my heart still today. I kept my parents up late practicing trombone and guitar, spent many spring evenings on the baseball field, and took a special interest in mentoring my younger brother. We were always each other's first friend through every move, and that close sibling bond is something I've always hoped for my own children. I studied aerospace engineering in college, inspired by my dad's career as a fighter jet pilot and my own fascination with flight. I've spent my career in government research, focusing on experimental aircraft and spacecraft, which I find deeply rewarding and also allows flexibility to spend time with my family.

Beyond my work, I love sharing life around the dinner table, going on adventures, and bringing lightheartedness into everyday moments. My friends describe me as loyal, spirited, and funny.

Nick is the most genuine person I know. He wears his heart on his sleeve and leads our family with integrity and passion. His faith guides him and gently reminds us what is most important. I love watching Nick try new things—whether he’s building something for our home, trying a new recipe, or teaching our son a new skill, he gives 100% of himself and does it with a smile. Nick has a special way of making people feel seen. Whether he’s talking with a server at a restaurant or spending time with a close friend, he listens well and makes others feel valued. He connects easily with people over sports, science, music, or anything in between. My favorite thing about Nick is the way he cares for our son and our family. He is both playful and nurturing, listens without judgment, and offers guidance when it’s needed. He is a wonderful dad, and I’m so grateful to be his teammate.

Everyday moments are our favorite kind - playing with our son and dog, going on long walks, making meals together, or just dancing in the kitchen. Our home is usually filled with music, laughter, and lots of energy, and we can't wait to bring another child into the mix!

Most evenings, you can find us playing music together. Nick plays the guitar, Nicole is on the piano, and we'll sing our own songs or our favorite worship tunes. Every so often we'll get our brass instruments out and jam like true band kids.

Nicole's favorite hobby is baking sourdough bread for friends and neighbors. There is nothing quite like the smell of fresh bread, and she's made a name for herself as "that sourdough girl." Nick usually spends his free time playing golf, making barbecue, or watching sports. He can't wait to indoctrinate another Philadelphia sports fan.

Traveling is one of our favorite activities. While our international trips have dwindled after welcoming Wesley into our world, we still travel around the United States regularly. Our most recent trip was to Puerto Rico with Nicole's family. We loved every minute of it and plan to return regularly!

Living in Northern Virginia feels like the best of both worlds. We are surrounded by nature in the suburbs, while also just a quick drive away from Washington, D.C. We've spent many years exploring the rich cultural history of D.C., the many art offerings in the area, and the diverse food scene here. This area is perfect for kids because it has a ton of academic and extracurricular activities, along with amazing museums and the National Zoo!

We moved into our 'forever' home in Falls Church in 2024. It checked every box for us: open floor plan, big yard, neighborhood pool, lots of rooms, and tucked away but still central. We love watching our son and dog run around the house every night and we know they can't wait to have another child join them! What we love most about our neighborhood is the diversity we get to be a part of. There is a range of ages, races, and cultures on our street, and also a lot of young families. Our son has a built-in best friend who lives right next door, and lots of younger friends on our street. We feel so grateful to know our neighbors and support each other well.

Wesley is our kind, funny, and energetic 3.5-year old. He loves playing with kids of all ages and cannot wait to be a big brother. He looks forward to teaching his sibling numbers and letters, and sharing his dinosaur collection with them. He attends a Spanish-immersion pre-school in our neighborhood and has made so many friends. He loves climbing, singing, and reading books, and can't wait to do those things with a sibling. We rescued our dog Boone when he was just 8 weeks old from a local animal rescue. He was a shy puppy who never left our side, and now he’s a playful four-year-old with lots of energy. Boone is a smart and expressive husky mix who learns quickly. He loves being around kids and seems to think every baby is his. He is gentle, patient, and protective with our son, and we feel confident he will be a loving companion to another child in our family. Boone is such a cherished part of our lives.

We are grateful to live near many of our family members, including Nick’s parents and grandparents, Nicole’s mom, and Nick’s brother, his wife, and their infant daughter. We see them most weeks and often share meals, holidays, and special occasions together. We are incredibly blessed that our parents are close friends with each other and regularly spend time together!

Outside of the area, Nicole has two brothers. Nicole's oldest brother and his wife have two elementary-aged children and are in the process of adopting. Nicole lived with her niece when she was a baby and loved every minute of it. Nicole's twin brother lives in California where he plays pickleball every day and soaks up the sun. All of our siblings are awesome aunts and uncles and can't wait to spoil another child.

Our family is truly a melting pot from all over the world. Nicole's mom is originally from Puerto Rico and loves sharing Puerto Rican traditions and food with us. Nick's mom was born in England and puts on a wonderful tea party! Nicole's dad is Lebanese and makes a delicious Christmas dinner featuring kibbeh, stuffed squash, pita, and homemade hummus. Our extended roots stem from Germany, Eastern Europe, and the Iberian Peninsula.

Our Christian faith is very important to us. Our church community is a huge part of our life. We've volunteered in the children's ministry at church for the last 10 years, caring for infants and toddlers. We also sing and play music with the worship team on Sunday mornings and have loved leaning into the intersection of faith and art. Our church really feels like a family to us, and we are blessed to receive so much support from them.

Raising a child is the greatest gift and biggest responsibility we've ever had. We've learned so much about what it takes to be parents and we feel passionate about raising the next generation in a nurturing home.

Our faith guides our principles, as we strive to parent with joy, patience, kindness, and love above all else. We aim to lead by example, and we practice honesty, forgiveness, and emotional regulation every day.

We believe laughter makes everything better, and we try to keep things lighthearted. We love including our son in daily tasks like laundry, cooking, and cleaning, and we would instill the same values in your child as well.

Your child would be welcomed into a happy home, committed to making sure they know how much they are loved. We will always seek to listen first, talk when necessary, and show compassion every chance we can.

We pray you feel peace, comfort, and clarity as you navigate this season and make the best decision for your child. We know in our hearts that we are meant to add more children to our family and that God is calling us to adopt. We promise to raise our children in a loving, faithful, and others-focused home. We promise to be quick to listen, slow to anger, and put the needs of our children above our own.
