Hello from San Diego, California! Thank you for taking the time to get to know us! Both of us commend your courage as you face this important decision, and we appreciate the opportunity to share with you how important parenthood is to us as we begin to grow our family. Words cannot express the blessing of raising a child together and having the opportunity to become fathers.
We know that this decision is not easy but know that we are here to support you in any way we can through the process. We are so excited to add a little one to our family and can’t wait to show them the world.
We met in 2012 at a party through mutual friends. A quick exchange of contact information quickly led to the first date and then it became quite clear early on that we were going to get married. With both of us being from the south, each of us close to our friends and family, and a desire for a committed long-term relationship and a family of our own, led to our wedding in 2015. Throughout our relationship we have learned what teamwork is all about and what it takes to have a successful partnership.
Our lives together have been blessed and full of laughter. We look forward to sharing this foundation with our future child.
I grew up in Lakeland, Florida just in between Tampa and Orlando. I had an active childhood surrounded by a close-knit community of friends and family. I attended Valencia Community College where I obtained my Associates Degree and then later completed my Bachelor of Science in Business at San Francisco State University. I am a lover of horses. Horses have been my passion and training and competing them has been my career and life’s work. I have owned my own Equestrian company for over 25 years with the dream of making an Olympic team someday. I so look forward to sharing this passion with our child. In addition, I have been lucky to travel extensively, love entertaining friends, and the pleasure of reading a good book. Having worked for myself for most of my career, I am able to have a flexible schedule. This will allow me to dedicate a large amount of time to our future child during his or her early years.
To say Stephen is high energy would be an understatement. He is always up for a fun time and always goes with the flow. He is compassionate about everyone and loves to make people feel special. His love for animals is something that immediately connected us. I feel so lucky to have a partner that loves me for who I am.
I can’t wait to watch Stephen share his many passions and values with our future child.
I was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina by my loving parents who still live there. I am extremely close with my older sister Nikki and her 3 kids Jordan, Jonathon, and Joseph. Sports was a huge part of my life, so I spent most of my spare time on the baseball field. I was very involved in the church and had an amazing network of friends. After school, I moved to Washington DC for 7 years and began my career in sales. I decided that I needed a lot more sunshine and from there moved to California. I work in medical device sales and am extremely passionate about what I do. Specifically working with sudden cardiac arrest. My hobbies are running, working out, riding bikes, and cooking. I can’t wait to be a father and give our child the same love and guidance that was given to me.
Justin is my angel. He is the definition of unconditional love. He’s the guy that everyone wants to be around. His energy and charismatic nature not only make him my favorite human but also all those who know and love him. He is dedicated to making things right and truly wants what is best for everyone. He is the funniest person I have ever met and can make me smile in times I never thought possible.
I know Justin will make a great father because he is selfless and kind. He is always present which makes you feel special and supported. He’s good at just about everything and always up for something new and fun. I cannot wait to watch Justin shower our new child with the very same qualities I have had the pleasure of experiencing in our time together.
Our home is just up from the beach in Carlsbad, California just north of San Diego. Recently remodeled, our house represents both of our personalities and our love for entertaining and coastal living. We enjoy our daily walks on the beach and evening sunsets.
Southern California provides the perfect blend of culture, schools, and outdoor activities for all ages.
Pace is our terrier mix that we adopted from the Bocca, Florida animal rescue in 2014. He is the kindest and most loving little guy and he comes just about everywhere with us. He loves his walks on the beach and a good game of fetch. He loves children and can’t wait for a baby brother or sister.
Our family and friends are the center of our universe. We both communicate daily with our parents although they live on the east coast. Justin’s family lives in Charleston, South Carolina where his mother and father, Rhonda and Newell, live in his childhood home and own and operate a pressure washing business. They are busy playing grandma and grandpa to his sister Nikki’s 3 children Jordan, Jonathon, and Joseph as well as being involved with their local Methodist church.
Stephen’s parents Ron and Nancy are doing the same a little further south in St. Augustine, Florida. Brother Michael has two boys Kai and Von and brother Andrew has two boys Andy Jr. and Kelly. It’s never a dull moment around Stephen’s family, with sporting events and school activities. Ron and Nancy are quite active in both the community and the downtown Trinity Episcopal Church.
The two of us are grateful and honored to think that you are considering us as adoptive parents for your baby. We feel blessed to be in this incredible position as we begin our new family and understand that this dream begins with you. We look forward to meeting you and can’t thank you enough for this extraordinary opportunity.
