Hello! We are Tim and Micah from Los Angeles, California. Thank you for taking the time to look through our profile.
In 2020, our lives were forever changed when we adopted our son Weston. We are so grateful to his first parents for entrusting us with him. As you look through these photos of our family, we hope they help you picture the type of family we are and the life and love we could share with your child. We know many factors go into deciding to make an adoption plan, but we know your decision is rooted in love and a desire to do what is best for your child. If you think we could be the right family for your child, we’d love to meet you! We wish you the best in your adoption journey.
We are so grateful that we were able to become parents through adoption. When we felt ready to welcome another child into our family, we knew there was really no other choice for us than adoption. We are constantly learning how to be better parents and specifically how to be better adoptive parents. Our journey has led us to discover a wonderful community within adoption, and we cherish the connections we have made. We love to know that both of our kids would be able to bond over the joys and challenges of adoption.
It all started with a game of loaded questions! We met at a friend’s Christmas party where we played the game Loaded Questions and couldn’t stop laughing at each other’s answers. As we got to know each other, we learned that we had so much in common like our love of music, our offbeat sense of humor and that we always order sandwiches without tomatoes. As we grew closer we learned we had deeper things in common - our strong desire to be parents, and our deeply held values we hoped to teach our children. After 4 years of happily living together, we got married at one of our favorite places, the beach! It was an amazing ceremony (we’re pretty sure we caught the officiant crying when we read our vows). Not long after, we started the adoption process. We were overjoyed when we welcomed Weston into our little family.
I grew up in Los Angeles and have lived here my whole life. Although I’ve never lived anywhere else, I still love going to new places and trying new things. I’m very lucky to have been able to travel all over. Some of my favorite places I’ve visited are Italy, France, Malaysia and Cozumel.
I love playing games and being silly, and in a lot of ways consider myself to be a kid at heart. I spent my 20s volunteering with youth and adolescents, which involved going to camps, playing games, mentoring students, going to sports games and high school plays. Although nothing can fully prepare you for parenthood, it taught me a lot about patience, vulnerability and the support and encouragement kids need to thrive.
In my free time I love to play guitar and piano, and hope to teach my kids one day (but if not that’s OK too). I work in Software Development for a marketing services company. It’s a great fit for me because it gives me a chance to both be creative and indulge my nerdy side that loves science and technology.
I am so fortunate to have someone like Tim in my life. He is such a compassionate, loving, smart and thoughtful person, always thinking of others and being there for people with an open ear. He’s quick to make me laugh with a silly pun or embarrassing dad joke that makes me roll my eyes. Tim has a sense of wonder and curiosity about the world that is so infectious. He’s always trying to understand how something works or figuring out how to fix or improve something. He’s that guy everyone needs at a board game night who reads through the rules so he can explain to everyone how to play. It’s been amazing to see him lean into his curiosity and silliness as a parent. He is such a compassionate and patient dad. He is always coming up with creative projects that spark Weston’s curiosity like impressive Magna-Tiles towers or obstacle courses. I love seeing so many qualities that made me fall in love with Tim be passed on to Weston.
I was also born and raised in Los Angeles. When I graduated high school, I couldn’t wait to go explore the east coast so I packed my bags for Boston. After college, I really missed California and couldn’t wait to come back. I can’t imagine living anywhere else!
Ever since I could enroll in band in school, I’ve been a band geek. Music has always been a big passion of mine. I started out playing trumpet, later teaching myself piano and guitar. I wanted to find a way to combine my love of music with my interests in business and entrepreneurship so I attended Berklee College of Music where I got my degree in Music Business. I currently work at a company that creates music for film, advertising and TV shows such as the Real Housewives and The Voice. In my free time, I am usually in the kitchen baking (I have a big sweet tooth!) or reading a book. I love to bake things for other people, be it my favorite chocolate chip cookies or trying my hand at a fancy, challenging recipe from The Great British Bake Off. I love baking with Weston and can’t wait to have another little helper in the kitchen with me.
Micah is thoughtful, tender, considerate and dependable. He is so passionate about his work in the music industry. His knowledge of music is truly impressive. He is so incredibly talented, creative and funny. He makes me laugh everyday and brings so much joy to our home. Micah is always up for an impromptu adventure, and there is no one I’d rather go on one with. Micah is an amazing “dada” to Weston, he is gentle, patient, loving and fun. He is always finding fun new activities to try. Whether it is tackling some holiday baking or scooting around the neighborhood, the time they spend together is full of fun and smiles. Co-parenting with Micah has made me love and admire him all the more!

We recently moved to a new home in a suburban area of Los Angeles, California. We live in a ranch-style house with great spaces for kids inside and out including a backyard with lots of space to run and play. We love to have friends and family over to swim in our pool or play ball in our yard. Our neighborhood is so friendly with a great park a short walk from us. We’ve met and become friends with many families who frequent our local park. Living in LA there is always something going on, and we want our kids to experience the city. We love spending weekends exploring different neighborhoods, checking out local events or taking family trips to some of our favorite spots from our childhood.
We are incredibly lucky to have so much of our family close by. Family is very important to us and rarely a week will go by without us spending time with our family. Micah’s parents live just a few towns over and are very involved grandparents. It’s so sweet to see Weston with his Nana and Papa. Tim’s dad also visits frequently to catch up and see all the new trucks in Weston’s collection or play a game of catch in the front yard. Micah and Tim’s brothers both have families with young kids which make for fun, and sometimes chaotic, get-togethers swimming in the pool, going on a hike or taking a trip to the train museum.
Holidays are a fun time in our family. We love to celebrate Christmas and take turns hosting with Tim’s family. Every year we pick out new ornaments for our oversized Christmas tree and spend Christmas morning in our PJs eating fresh cinnamon buns. Micah’s family is Jewish so every year his parents throw a not-to-be missed Hanukkah party, complete with latke making lessons hosted by Micah’s dad.
We also have a wonderful and supportive group of friends who we love to have over for games, movies and play dates.
Thank you so much for taking the time to learn a little about our family. We admire your courage, and the love you have for your child. As adoptive parents, we feel it is important to honor you and the special role you have in your child’s life. We know that looks different for everyone, and in every season. We would love to navigate it together. We can’t wait to bring another child into our family and hope that you can see the love and joy we share.
